Ok, I don't really know where else to post this. Does anyone know if there are any shops in the Los Angeles or San Diego area that stock performance parts for 996's? Specifically, I would like to pick up a cat delete or high flow cat x-pipe and a cold air intake... Maybe a short shifter. This is kind of last minute and I won't be able to install the parts myself again for a bit, so I was hoping to be able to just pick them up and go to work. I haven't been able to find a thing. Thanks!

Hey guys, Im the proud new owner of a 2003 996 C2 coupe (6 speed)... And Im lovin it. I have some questions though: 1) After I got it, I drove home and hopped back in and tried to start it, turned the key, and it didnt even try to turn over. I tried multiple times and nothing. Then I pressed the unlock button from inside the car and it started. I then turned the car off to see if it would start again and the situation repeated. Anyway, other times, if I turn the key and just hold it, after a few seconds it starts up. There was even one time when I turned the key, held it and it didnt start, but while holding the key in start I pressed the unlock button on the dash and it started. I figure its an alarm thing or something related to the car being in safety mode or whatever. I'm not too worried about it because it starts and runs great, but I would like to fix this. Any ideas? 2) When I hop in and wait for it to measure the oil, sometimes the level it high and sometimes low (both on level ground). Is it not accurate? 3) Also, It has the Porschse sport exhaust, but I was thinking about adding some extras like headers, cat delete, intake, and an ECU flash or tune. Is any of this worth it or is there anything I'm missing? On my M3 (e46) I remember that mods were pretty worthless. Finally, if there is any other advice, throw it at me. Its coming up on 39,000 miles so if there is anything I should look for, let me know. Thanks for any help.
