  1. Girodisc are nice rotors, but they only change the rotor, not the caliper. Unless your C2 is making considerably more power than stock, the calipers you have are more than adequate with the right pads and good, fresh fluid. I am also working with a brake supplier to produce two piece, aluminum hatted floating rotors in stock size, that will come in cheaper than Girodisc.

    Thanks for the help.

I think my car have 300 - 330 hp, I have to go to a dyno , to measure the power. So maybe with this modifications I didn't change the rotors or calipers:

    - castrol SRF fluid

    - goodridge hoses

    - 997GT3 cooling ducts

    - PAGID RS29 ( yellow pads)

    Opinions?

    Thanks

  2. Thinking to do do some track, I intend to make a brake upgrade in the 996 C2 2000.

I need to know if that is possible, to change the brake ssytem, and what I need to buy to do the conversion 996 C2MKI > 996GT3MKI ?

For now I think in the front only.

It needs only calipers , pads and discs of 330mm?

    Parts:

99635140991 DISC TRV FRT Left 996GT3

99635141091 DISC TRV FRT right 996GT3

    99635142910 Caliper Breaks FRT Left 996 GT3

99635143010 Caliper Breaks FRT right 996GT3

Pads , I don´t insert the codes because there is so much options, in other brands.

    Thanks for the help.

  3. everything it's lead to Pagid as far as i can see

i also understand that the Pagid Orange are the best suit for my needs?

    what about the Pagid black?

who carry them at resonable prices anyway?

I think that the best kit to upgrade the brakes are:

PAGID RS 29 front and rear

    Goodridge Braided Hoses

    Castrol SRF Brake Fluid

    997 GT3 Front Brake Ducts

997 GT3-2 Rear Forced Air Ducts

    Hope I help.

    . Stabilizers bars

    . coilovers

    Anything more?

Or it is best to buy

    - The bilstein PSS10

    - KW variant 3

    Or H&R stabilizers bars?

    Aboult the brakes system

    - The GT3 serial kit brakes is:

    4 piston calipers

    4x 330mm discs

    I need advice, thanks

  5. Yes, you can mount up 8.5" wheels in front with offsets of 50 or 52 mm. You can run a 235 tire in front without rubbing or contact.

I have 8" front wheels on my MY99 Carrera and I am running the same size tires you quote above.

You do not need spacers on the front or rear.

    Thanks Loren

Yes I think a 8" ET52 wheels in front was ok and don´t need the spacer. However he have already in back the 10" ET65 with a 17mm Spacer. They look fantastic, so I think I stay with the spacer back. Now I trying to find the GT3 front wheels in 8"ET52, but is not a easy find.

    1" is aboult 2,54cm

0,5" is aboult 1,27cm, it was a big difference.

  6. Hello

    I I own a 996 C2 Coupe 2000 recently with the factory GT3 KIt,( I don´t know if there is a code for this GT3 Kit) and I notest he have :

    - Front 7,5" ET50 - 225/40 ZR 18

    - Back 10" ET65 - 285/30 ZR 18 ( he have monted a 17mm spacers)only in back

It is possible to mount in front the 8" ET 52 in front?

In both situations is correct to mount spacers in front? In this case 5, or 7 mm ?

I notest that in front the wheels are inside the arch of the car. In back are ok, with a good looking .

Thanks in advance for your opinions.
