    I would also like to add myself to the list of exploding white balls on my 2005 Boxster S. Had the car for a month and yesterday it said "boom". So if you got the link to the person with the balls, I would love to have a PM too. Thanks /Thomas

    This morning (30 mins ago) I tried to start my 2000 C4, and all it did was give the click, click, click noise. But all electrics seem to work. But while I'm trying to start, the windows on both sides go up/down. Been trying to search the site for similar problems, but couldnt find any. First guess is the battery is about to die. It does seem to have a slight lover voltage than usually. Before calling the shop, I would love to hear any oppinions. If its just the battery, then I can replace that one myself. Edit: Well - after a few additional starting attempts, my battery voltage (as reported on the dash) is now at 11 v and dropping slightly for every attempt. Definitely seems to be the battery. Just super weird about the window going up/down while trying to start

    98k km on original clutch and no RMS or any other problem! Daily driver for 100-120k every day. MY 2000 C4 Plan to drive it at least 20-30k km yet before buying a 996 turbo cab or going 997 facelift when it comes out.

    Just wore down my set of PZero rossos and will definitely try the PS2 now. Heard only good thing about the at track days. No one seemed to like the PZeros except for the hardcore track guys with lots of $. The grip is supposed to be better, as it has a bit softer rubber (according to them - and thats why they also wear faster).

    That wing looks great on the c4s even without the aerokit all the way around. What is the retail price on the Misha GT2? Thanks for your input soutahc4s Mishas minimal site - http://www.996wings.com/ A DYI for the install - http://www.funcarsonline.com/gallery/album26 I think it sells for around $1200-1300 + a paintjob. Beware - it might look good on its own, but it generates lots of downforce. Without a frontwing you might get an ustable car at high speeds. Goes for most all rear wings. If you never drive above 65, then no problem ;-)

    Opinions differ naturally, but the only wing I would ever put on my car was something similar to Mishas GT2 replica. http://www.wheelexperts.com/aero/996wbm/line_996c2c4.html I dont like the aerokit wings, and this one looks great imho. Your milage may vary.

    Yeah - its almost impossible to find MY02 in Europe with PCM-2 (been looking for a few month intensively for my next car). Easiest way to quickly see if its 1 og 2 is to look at the number of numbered buttons buttons on the left. PCM-1 has 6 buttons (1->6) while PCM-2 has 10 + 2 few extras. Pic of PCM-2 here:

    Upgrading with a DVD reader? Are you 100% sure that this can be done? The never disks have different electronics (and thus most likely different software). My PCM-1 8-bit doesnt even read PCM-1 16-bit CD's. How it is supposed to read modern DVDs, much less display the higher resolution maps is beyond me. But if its doable, I'll happily do the mod

    I've smelled somthing similar. Did somewhat the same stunt - rev at ~3000 and letting clutch go. Smelled really bad for a couple of days and went away. Thats 6 month ago, and I do not notice anything wrong

    Instructions are on this forum somewhere with pics posted by Loren. Search for PSE. I removed the bumper when I installed PSE, and I was happy about it. I know that its possible to do without, but it was **** convenient. For someone like me, who hasn't done many mods, it was just plain helpful to be able to see everything.     I simply love the aero kit. I wished it wasnt so expensive to retro fit. But on my next car!!! :-) Aero kit looks especially good on bright colored cars. The curves and lines show up very nice. I'm personally not too fond of the spoiler. Looks "too present" / "Too bulky". But I'm not fond of rear spoilers in any case.

    I'll chime in with a little too. If you put on a wing on the back, you need to have the front changed too. But you can put on the front + side skirts without a wing. Else your aero dynamics will be fubar at high speeds. Thats at least the usual wisdom spread around on the Porsche forums. Floor mats - go with Lloyds. They are absolutely fabulous, and have a simple yet effective mechanism to keep them from sliding. SSK - there are several recent threads about those + DIY guides. E.g.: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=4876 I havent heard anyone who doesnt like it. I plan to do it too as my next mod.

    Yeah - I also thought that mine was busted. Until I realized that you need to turn on the headlights first - just like C4 Pazzo explains
