The car is running beautifully. No problems. Used sport and sport plus modes regularly for 6 months now. Awesome car!!!

Well the dealership called me today and said that the car is finally fixed and back to Porsche specs. It was just the crankshaft pulley that had cracked. No other problems were found and all tests have come out well. I will take charge of the vehicle tomorrow.

That is what the service department told me. They are supposed to replace the part and then run tests on the engine to make sure. Something else could have start the oil loss problem and the crankshaft pulley just cracked due to insufficient engine oil.

The dealer's service department said today that the crankshaft pulley had cracked. They have a part coming in tomorrow and it will be repaired. They then run the car through several tests and test drives to make sure it is up to specs.

While returning home today, I heard a loud knocking sound in the engine and then lost engine oil pressure followed by PSM failure and break failure. There is oil all over my driveway and in my garage. I have sent an email to the dealership so I should hear back from them in the next few days. Thankfully the car is a CPO vehicle. I wonder I where the leak is from.

My 2007 911 tt is missing the small rubber mudflap that is at the bottom of the right rear wheel well. Could you help with its part number and where to buy it from.

I replaced all four of mine and purchased them from Bob at Sunset Porsche in Oregon. Thet are located under the "Special Offers Menu", then "Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost" above. The fron are fastened with three screws each.

This information is great! I have very little experience with my 997. I have yet to test the limit of this car in its stock form. So I am not sure if any of these mods are of much use to me yet. I used to have base corvette with Lingenfelter mods (730 HP and 720 torque) and this car in its stock form is still better in handling and acceleration than the corvette was. So I might wait to see if I can really get the most of the car before any mods. I have been told by several porsche mechanics that a lesson with PCA would probably yield more for me out of this car than 10,000 dollars worth of mods.
