  1. So I purchased a Bluetooth phone / A2DP adapter: http://smartworldcompany.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=68&category_id=3&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=54 or http://www.viseeo.com/ugC_ShowroomItem_Detail.asp?hidPage1=1&hidShowID=35&hidClickNum=Y It works well except that sometimes if I am playing music via the A2DP, and then answer the phone / talk / hangup, the next time the phone rings and I pick up I cannot hear the caller. They hear me fine. I do have a CD changer in my CS but I DID NOT do anything to disconnect it or disable it. Two questions: 1) does anyone think that this could be the problem? 2) do I bypass the changer by simply putting a coupling on the fibre optic line at the changer or do I need to program the PCM to disable it? I have tech support from the mfg looking at it now but I was curious about input from the other members...
  2. it looked clean to me. are you thinking that the valve may be sticking?
  3. Brought it back to my guy and he looked the the left side air filter assembly. Also took off the center air intake tube to look at the throttle body. He did not look at the right side. All looked fine. The sound seems to be coming from the middle section (throttle body). Sounds like the throttle body valve slamming (hence the suck / thump). Unfortunately there is no way to run the car and inspect the throttle body with the center air intake tube off. Performance seems normal .. normal with a slight lag in response, which is normal to me. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
  4. I just recently got back my 06 CS from a Porsche specialist. 40K service with serpentine belt, oil, air filter, etc. $640. Not a bad deal. Perhaps I have been deaf all this time but when in park or otherwise and I press the accelerator hard, I hear a quick sucking sound and then a thump. It doesn't do it if I press the accelerator gradually. I don't think it was there before ... or maybe I am just being paranoid. The car seems to run fine. Is this normal? :( Thanks
  5. Must be the day for wet floor pans. I found my passenger side floor pan soaking wet this morning. Of course hurricane Irene just went over top of me last night... I found that my headliner seemed to have a stain that I didn't notice before. I didn't by the car new so its possible it was there .. but doubtful. The stain was in the right front corner of the headliner surrounding the sunroof. So I proceeded to use compressed air and blow into the drain tube. I also pulled the plug on the passenger side and blow upwards towards the sunroof. I did not do the same for the drivers side. Would someone say if they think I fixed the problem? I find it really strange that the drain plug (at the end) has a pinched design. Can someone also confirm that it should look like that? Thanks
  6. So I was just told that the CD changer cannot co-exist with the Bluetooth stereo input. Can someone explain how to disable the CD changer so that I can use my phones Bluetooth capabilities to play music? Thanks!
  7. So given the options, which unit is better a Tooki or a Mobridge? I am able to return the item I purchased without penalty.
  8. Well I took the dive and am now just waiting for the unit to show up. Will keep progress posted if anyone cares to see.
  9. My favorite was when a guy came up to me in a parking lot and said: '...wow, I've never seen a Porsche station wagon before....' Now that was funny!
  10. I've thought about the hood ornaments, used as fender badges... :clapping: On eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PORSCHE-BADGE-EMBLEM-BODY-KIT-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem27bb081d46QQitemZ170641595718QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
  11. I communicated with the dealer and they indicated that the phone module need not be activated for their device to work with the PCM, including its use of the steering wheel controls. Is it me or does this seem to good to be true? Phone and iPod type functionality at a reasonable cost? Most other solutions I have seen are way more complicated, including losing the use of the CD changer. The seller also offers a money back guarantee. They sell through eBay and ship from the UK.
  12. As a fairly new Porsche owner, I found that for the layman, the Cayenne can sometimes blend into the crowd. I am hardly a snob but I thought it would be nice when pulled up to a stop sign, someone could look aver and make no mistake that you were driving a fine automobile. I like the badges on the fender. Just curious what other owners think. My pic is attached...
  13. So I have been looking around and I found a company that sells what seems to be a VERY straight forward unit, which should Bluetooth enable my PCM 2.1 I am just curious if anyone else has had any experience with this device: Viseeo Mosto MO-S1-B for Porche http://smartworldcompany.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=68&category_id=3&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=54 I was also provided installation instructions that seemed sparse to say the least...but what can you say when its only 3 connections (Power / Fibre / Microphone). I recently discovered Pandora Radio on my HTC Shift and would also love to use my phone as my music source. Apparently this thing does it all!! Thoughts or experience would be very appreciated.
  14. Hi, New owner of a 2006 Cayenne S. Very happy with this pre-owned car. The problem is the original owner did not get the phone option. As I am not interested in spending $600 on a MOST upgrade, I purchased a Blackberry VM605 speakerphone. It works VERY well. The only problem is that I would like to hardwire the power. Can anyone give me an idea of how to get to the power connectors inside the visor so I can tap into them? Many thanks in advance
