  3. Hi, Just wondering if anyone has had or heard of this problem I'm having. i have a 97 carrera 2s, done 44k miles. Recently the cabin has been smelling of petrol fumes. It's pretty bad once i get into the car when it has been left a while. Otherwise, driving is fine, so long as the windoes are CLOSED, which is strange I know. It is not coming from the rear engine compartment, and it is not coming from the aircon/heater either..Also, the car is garaged and there is zero fuel smell in there so I take it there is no leak. I'm guessing some petrol fumes must be coming from the tank or filler as the front hood smells quite strong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. steve
