  1. This happened to me too. If the car/engine was cold disregard the following. After bringing mine out for hoon I brought her back to wash. I heard a tappity like noise coming from the engine. When I looked under the car I could see excess water dripping from the top onto the very hot exhaust/muffler manifold hence causing the 'tappity' noise much to my relief. Just my dimes worth. HTH
  2. Also, be sure to check the radiators at the front. A common problem is leaves and debris entering the car at the front and if you don't clean them out they can rot and corrode the front of the radiators and eventually the core. This will cause the car to dump the coolant. It's an age old problem on the 996's and it happened to me. I am in the process of getting mesh grill installed to prevent this from occurring again. HTH.
  3. I think it's difficult. I've heard it's not an easy transplant. Here's a linky:
  4. I've got the Cargraphic exhaust with the BMC Cold Air Induction kit. Completely transforms the car, absolutely huge change from stock. I think the cheapest mod is the Fister mod with the CAI. Maybe $500?
  5. Rob, maybe post the question over on 911uk too if you have no joy. A few of the lads have the fabspeed sports exhaust on their 996's.
  6. Yep I'm over here, Dublin 7 I've had the wheels refurbished by guys called AutoSmart they'll fix small scratch's and dents, that and there mobile as in they come to you. I was going to change the colour to matt black or gun metal but decided the original colour suits them best. I'm too in Porsche Club Ireland only problem I find with them is they always hold there events on Saturdays when I work :) I'm in the club too. Same prob, work a lot of weekends but have done a lot of track days etc. Car is in getting some mods at the moment so going crazy. I'm Dublin 3 way.
  7. Nice car JamesD, GT3 wheels compliment it very nicely. Are you over here? http://forum.porsche-club-ireland.com/index.php
