Thank you for the reply. The parts in the kit from Carnewal and Suncoast both have only the springs, struts, and swaybars. These both represent the European Sport Suspension Kit on my list above. All other parts are listed as things I should replace when swapping out the suspension on the forums.
I currently have a 2002 Porsche Boxster S with 86k miles on it. I drive it spirited and do some autocross. I noticed that my right strut started to make some noise and the ride does not seem as firm as it once was. I am thinking about upgrading my suspension with the ROW M030 kit. I am interested in adding a bit more handling while maintaining everyday comfort and drivability. I have read a bunch of articles in regards to all the other parts you should replace when you do the ROW M030 swap. Upon pricing all the parts they are almost 3k!! Here are the parts and pricing I have so far: 202 99734301800 2 - Front Strut Mounts 175.5 98633305906 2 - Rear Strut Mounts 74 99634351505 2 - Strut Bearings (front only) 1795 ROW M030 European Sport Suspension Kit 170 986DLINKF Front Drop Links 170 986DLINKR Rear Drop Links 13 986FRCOMP front compensation plates(size? 3mm or 6.5mm) 13 986RRCOMP rear compensation plates(size? 3mm or 6.5mm) 38 99634350500 Front Shock Bellows 38 98633350501 Rear Shock Bellows 35 99634330102 Front Bump Stops 50 98633330101 Rear Bump Stops Can you experts please help me determine if I am missing anything else or are there some parts that I just dont need..... Also any tutorials/advice that anyone can give me would be great. THANK YOU!
I have a similar issue. My can was backed into while parked late last year so I had to have the fender replaced on the passenger side. I had to take the car back multiple times because while the paint looked good there attention to detail was very poor. Needless to say I found another issue....when they put the fender back on the car they did not put the manual pull cable back through the fender inside the door jamb. I don't want to have to take it back to the body shop because they are far from the house and frankly aren't very good. Is this something that I can do myself without having to take the fender off? Any step by step instructions or pictures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!
I just replaced my Dunlop Direzza tires with Michelin Super Sports at the stock sizes of Front: 225-40-18 and Rears: 265-35-18. It feels like the car has more body roll and the rear tires look very large to me from rim to top of tire. I feel like my Dunlops had a lower profile look. Does anyone have any opinions/experience with this. I have added high res pictures of both the front and rear tires of the car. Front Tire Rear Tire Thank you for any of your help and assistance.
No strange electrical issues whatsover. The car starts and runs perfectly. The only thing that I have found so far is on a 1997 - 1999 Boxster shares a high amperage fuse (F3) that controls the Audio Option Pack, Power Windows, and Rear Window Defrost. These are the 3 things that I am having issues with but my car is a 2002. Help please.. I don't want to have to take it to the 'Stealership'
Sorry forgot to mention: 2002 Boxster S Factory Bose Speakers and Amp I took the center console and dash completely apart tonight to inspect for any damage and I dont see any crimped or damaged wires. I did find one 4 wire harness at the bottom center of the dash not plugged in but I cant find anything it would plug into. I also cant find what that plug is used for in the Bently maintenance manual. Thanks again for any help...
I instaled a AVIC920BT using the harness kit several months ago. One issue that I had post installation was that the video bypass didnt work. Yesterday I removed the radio to fix the bypass. Everything looked successful, however last night I noticed that some odd switches no longer worked. Power Windows, Power Lock, Rear Defrost. I have checked row D in the fuse box and all looks good. I dont even see how these things can be related at all. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I am wiring a new AVIC X920BT into my Porsche Boxster S w/Bose system. I have a few wires that I dont know where to connect them..
