  1. Okay, I'll try that...tks...
  2. It's hard to tell if it is occurring in auto mode...the shift range between 2nd and 3rd seems pretty short; around 2100 rpms from 2nd to 3rd and 2100 from 3rd to 4th... I just read another forum that suggested resetting the DME? Warming up the engine, disconnecting the negative terminal, waiting 20 minutes, hooking back up the battery, and driving it like I just stole the car...the idea is that this will reset the shifting pattern...thoughts?
  3. When I am manually shifting my 96 Tiptronic S, while in 2nd gear somewhere between 2200-2600 RPMs there seems like another shift takes place. It's almost as if there is a lower 2nd gear and a higher 2nd gear. Any ideas why it is doing this? Is this normal?
  4. Thanks will do! Appreciate the lead...
  5. Just joined the RennTech forums. I recently purchased a 96 993, 89,450 miles. It is literally spotless with all the records. Although I don't need a mechanic right now, I would like to source someone for the future. I plan to do my own oil changes, and maybe replace the plugs, and brakes. But, beyond that I may need some help. Anyone have a recommendation? I live in San Dimas which is a suburb of LA County...tks...jim
