Hello All, Im having difficulty working my Tiptronic system today. As we had lots of snow, I engaged the low range and comfortably made my way out. No excessive speed - just careful driving of up to 40km/h. After the conditions got better, I reverted back to the normal 'on road' mode (in neutral), but the low range transmission still feels as though it is partially engaged. It sometimes then reverts back to a mode of drive (with a 'D' in the dashboard & not the usual D1/D2/D3 etc), which feels like it is stuck in third gear, with take off very slow. I asked a mechanic & he said that the system has a memory & it is detecting shifting conditions and automatically applying low range in these circumstances (?). Has anyone heard of this ? or know how to revert my tiptronic settings back to original ?. I never want to touch that low range button again :-( Thanks Joe
