  1. Porsche could not identify source of PCM failure , but have surprisingly replaced PCM unit and BOSE amplifier at no cost. Needless to say , I am extremely happy with Porsche NA. My car is 3 years out of warranty.
  2. I have been to an authorized Porsche dealer service center , run a full diagnostic and say a full replacement is needed. Either a new PCM or an aftermarket unit.
  3. I've had intermittent problems with PCM on my 06 Boxster S over the last 18 months , system cuts out and occasionally reboots itself. Porsche diagnosis is PCM unit needs to be replaced, very costly since I'm out of warranty. Today I received this message: SYSTEM FAILURE - PHONE, AMPLIFIER, NAVIGATION SYSTEM AND CD CHANGER ALL UNAVAILABLE. So it appears my audio , nav and phone are dead. The car itself runs great , I am the original owner. Anyone here have any similar issue or suggestions. Thanks ...
  4. Thanks in advance for any advice! My wife's 2001 911 cab , interior fan is not blowing.Car has 31k miles and has 25k service 1 year ago. Took it into the Local porsche dealer service and this is the checklist i just received! I am in North New Jersey. I know servicing the car is steep , but this appears to be over the top. Replace interior fan motor - $930 Brake fluid flush-$170 air bag maintainance -$145 Parking brake adjustment-$145 Clutch squeak $$145 plastic window cleaned $74 Cab sealer $129 Replace front tires $580 Alignment $ 449 Engine roller bearing $ 557
  5. I just updated my PCM/NAV to 2.1B tonight and got the exclamation points as well. So far, I have not been able to play an MP3 CD, nor have I found the new NAV functions (browse by ZIP code, etc.) Is there any tutorial on the web for PCM are any DVD instruction. My head is spinning from the PCM manual.PCM doers not appear intuitive.
  6. Easy. Create the playlist that you wish to burn. Go to Itunes>Edit>Preferences>Advanced>Burning and select MP3 CD. See attached image. Then burn. ;-) Do i need to use a different type of disk , thanks for the tutorial....
  7. Can anyone enlighten me on what this mp3 playing function is. I have mp3 files , a cd burner , Itunes and an ipod ,but am unfamiliar on how to utilize this function in pcm.Do I have to burn mp3 files on a disk? I am told that a disk can hold hundreds of files ?How do I do this?
