  1. I have a non Bose sound system in my car and both front door woofers were making a "Thock" noise when turned up loud. I've taken off the door cards to discover that both speaker diaphragms have split. Rather than going down the OEM route, can anyone recommend a pair of replacements? I was thinking about a pair of Infinity reference 860W 8" woofers, but I'm not sure about the impedance matching from the amp?
  2. When I unlock it for the first time it sounds more like a click. After the fourth press of the remote you can hear the locking motor "whirr" and you can open the door. I've actually removed the locking mechanism and cleaned it up and lubricated it with a generous dose of WD40. Quite a job in itself as you have to de-rivet the inner door panel. I get exactly the same problem as before. I am suspecting the locking mechanism, but it all seems to work okay. It's just when I leave the car locked for a period of time, it doesn't unlock first time. I was thinking about replacing the lock. Pelican parts list it for around $77, but I want to make sure that there might be some spurious programming by computer that also might cause this. I don't have access to PIWIS tester or Duratech either.
  3. My car has an odd problem with the driver's door lock. I have set the comfort settings to unlock all doors at once. When I plip the remote, the other three doors except the driver's door unlock. I have to plip the remote another three times to unlock the driver's door! However once it has been opened it will lock and unlock every time you plip the remote. If I leave the car locked for some time and come back to unlock it, the driver's door will not unlock first time again and I have to plip the remote in total four times to unlock the drivers door.
  4. Yes, the code will clear and the system will work. It will go from full low to full high, but only until you shut it off and re start it. The fault then comes back again. How does one re calibrate the level sensors?
  5. I took the car to my local mechanic who used his PIWIS to diagnose the air suspension fault which is displayed when you start the car. The compressor, relay and power supply seem to be in working order by using basic electrical trouble shooting, however there is a problem with the electronics that my mechanic has never seen. The fault code shown up was "1781 Extreme vehicle tilt" Any ideas anyone?
  6. Hi guys, I'm new here and this is my first post. I've recently bought my first Cayenne. A 2003 "S" It's not in bad condition, but some parts of the interior are letting it down. I'm surprised by the lack of quality of the paint on the interior plastics though. It seems to scratch very easily, leaving the black plastic underneath to show through. My car has the tan interior. Has anyone had any luck in finding a suitable touch up paint for this color?
