  1. Just a quick note to all those owners who have been plagued by the failing SIM tray of the PCM2. There are some excellent guides on how to replace this badly designed and flawed component, allowing you to save hundreds or thousands ( if you're dealer tells you you need a new PCM!). If you can actually take the tray out in order to replace it , then you have already done the hard work to repair it for free!! After following guide i had the tray mech. in my hand , so i decided to take it apart by removing the 4 tiny hex screws. There was the broken arm , a 3mm lug of plastic had broken off. so i got a red hot pin pushed it into the arm where the lug had broken, trimmed to down with snips, filed it smooth and hey presto, better than porsche design and 10x stronger! You can check the action to make sure it works just right before reassembly . Boy was i pleased with myself!
