  1. Driven by curiosity. I'm an engineer and like to plot data. I'm curious if trends more to location, age, mileage, CS vs CTT, etc
  2. I haven't seen anything like this. I'm collecting data on coolant pipe failure and tracking it. This stems from my own curiousity but maybe it will show some good results. I have the same thread on 6speed at http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/cayenne/251205-coolant-pipe-data-points-please-contribute.html It doesn't matter - Post here or there Please include Model, Model year, date of failure, mileage at failure, and location Thanks!
  3. Honestly I think if you drive carefully (like you stated above) you will be fine. Those numbers are there for the general public who just get in and go. However I wouldn't share this with the dealer, etc if you have still have a warranty
  4. No I could care less what people next to me think. I know i'm in a porsche and thats all that matters.
  5. does the website www.cayenneclassaction.com supercede this letter? Who knows the latest/greatest status of this lawsuit?
  6. There is a class action lawsuit against Porsche North America because of these coolant pipes. It can be checked out at the www.CayenneClassAction.com I think. Its only active in 3 states right now but the more the word gets out the more they won't be able to hide from this. These coolant pipes should have been a recal so spread the word to all Cayenne owners!
  7. I don't have this is my CS but I do hear it in my A4. It sounds like coolant gurgling, I wouldn't worry about it
  8. I couldn't get a thing out of them. They seemed totally clear. Which is why I'm confused about this thread topic...what are these particular drains for? I'm trying to clear whatever drain is causing water to dump in my driver's side footwell when the AC is running on hot days
  9. Really? This is my first porsche and when I bought it I assumed there had to be vagcom equivalent. I'm shocked tbh. How do you diagnose these things then?
  10. I hope this info shows up on here. Please post if you find yourself. The only thing i'm digging up for this is kg/hour I know audi MAFs (g/s) like the back of my hand but not much for porsches.
  11. I'm definitely going to check other drains as s preventative measure. Regarding my issue, it only happens when the AC is on and comes out on the driver side by the gas pedal
  12. A service rep at a dealer once told me that a solenoid/valve or something is a typical failure on these transmissions and can cause hard shifting. I don't know, mayeb this is it? Sorry, all I got
  13. Can someone clarify this thread? I'm confused. I have the same issue on my 04 CS Driver's side. I called dealer to ask and they said its the AC drains and is accessed from under vehicle. I assumed its the rubber nipple-like drain so i ran a coat hanger up there and got nothing. What is the drain mentioned above regarding the engine bay/firewall? Everywhere I look I get a different story. TIA!
  14. I have an 05 CS with PCM (2.0 i think, its CD) I have this SIM tray. Where are you guys using the VIN to see the options?
  15. ...i see results in the search but a lot of the results are old. I'm looking for the current best options. Thanks.
  16. Do you have a link to this product? I'm interested in this product and the installation process as well.
  17. I'm looking for a good way to hook up my ipod/iphone with the PCM in my 04 CS. I'm not having any luck finding a good product. What can you guys suggest?
  18. What year/interior? Mine is the sand beige and is that rubberized feel. Does yours? I touched up some interior spots in my audi in a similar manner you talk about but it was smooth plastic, not rubberized. yes, please provide the paint you used. Thanks
  19. I read something today about the wiring orientation of that battery. It was somewhere in this Cayenne forum in a thread about constant dead batteries. It said something along the lines of that battery is only used for starting an engages at the command of the ECM. Your idea sounds ok to me but I wanted to throw this out there.
