  1. The dealer charges 150 Euro for this (around 180 Dollars). So it is not exactly cheap.
  2. My dealer recommends to do a wheel alignment of my 2006 Boxster after the first 5000 Km (3.000 miles). They claim that quite a few Boxsters (but not all) have alignment changes in this period, causing tyre wear. Is this the general practice for the Boxster, or typical for this dealer?
  3. Practically all Boxster are now made in Finland.
  4. My dealer told me that they recommend a drivetrain alignment after the first 5.000 Km. It seems that the car has by then settled and some small adjustment will make it optimal again. Is this a general recommended practice by Porsche, or just the experience of my local garage ?
  5. How do you pull out the seat insert ?
  6. Hello, I did a test drive with a Boxster this week. The drive is fantastic, but there a 3 things which bother me a bit. I am 1.8 hm and have rather long legs. This alone excluded the old model for me, as it was just not comfortable. I now still have to put the seat in the maximum position, but at least I can get under the wheel. But in this position, I found the clutch pedal unusually hard to reach, much more than in any other car I have ever driven (except a BMW series 1). I have to fully extend my foot to get it down completely. This is a very strange effect and I found it rather tiring after 1 hour drive in heavy town traffic. To me, it feels like the gas pedal is at the right distance, but the clutch pedal is at least 3 to 5 cm too faraway from the driver. Did anyone else notice this and is there an easy way to change this? The seat is comfortable, but it is too short, with no support for your upper leg, and it lacks lumbar support. The electrical seat option solves this, but at 1.500 Euro, this is a rather expensive solution. Finally the motor noise. It is surely exciting during the first hour, but it is also extremely loud (at least 6 dB higher than in a Mercedes SLK for example). Listening to music at a normal level is difficult. Driving a long distance must be very tiring. A bit more insulation and a better exhaust would have made the car much more relaxing to drive.
