  1. My check engine light came on 2001 C4 cab 65k miles. I dont notice any problems, I change the oil every 5k. What could be wrong? I am turning the car in in 1 month, I would prefer NOT to spend any money on it if possible. The car has been probel free for all these miles. The brake wear light just came on on the dash also. How much brake do I have left? Can I turn it off some how and let the lease company/auction worry about it?
  2. Are these the same hood? My 996 has sustained damage to the hood and there is a 2002 boxster hood on ebay if it is the same fit I will buy it!
  3. Hood! I see bumper covers on ebay occasionally but I would like to know hwere I can get a hood? My deducttible is $2000 so this is on my dime!! Hit and run unfortunately... :cursing:
  4. Thanks I guess I need to pull the tire and remove the wheel well cover to get at it Oh well a project for tonite!!
  5. My washer fluid stopped working and when I went to fill it it leaked all over the garage floor!! is this a known problem??
  6. Thanks Loren I just called them and they said that its not normal fro them to pull the clutch and check it but they would do it if I wanted them to so I said yes please... As for the special tool they said they check everyhting according to Porsche standards... whatever that may mean??? ;)
  7. Well it looks like I have the dreaded RMS failure on my 2001 C4 cab!! First oil drips on garage floor! Going into dealer tommorrow!! :(
  8. I have a lead on a C-GT if anyone wants one. Nothing in it for me except maybe a thank you gift! No mark-up email me if interested and I'll hook you up. Totally legit from a dealer friend no black market or behind the scenes shenanigans. I just would like to see this car go to an enthusiast instead of a speculator!!
  9. This was a very easy swap! I did it two years ago. Just follow the simple instructions! :clapping:
  10. This is GREAT!! BUT wouldn't it be a lot less risk to remove the wheel for the repair job?? Very easy to jack it and remove it !
  11. Found it on www.mcmaster.com :clapping: Great source for parts of any kind!!
  12. This is a new feature on the 03 and 04 models!! To be able to put the top up and down while drving up to 25 mph. I have the Sharkworks one touch which is great to NOT have to hold the switch to make the top go up and down!! :clapping: I plan on doing this mod that you described this weekend in addition!
  13. Unfortunately its what holds item 17 to item 4 and 11 its a 3/16 X 3/4 inch clevsi pin with an E-clip at the end... not sold seperately  have to get item 17 which costs $100. Have tried many hardware and parts places will try internet search :(
  14. Eric at bumperplugs.co is the best source for these although there is a large delay right now!
  15. I have now removed three spoilers and installed two factory ones. The factory ones fit perfect. Aftermarket ones mmmm... Porsche changed the pattern on the deckl;id sometime between the 99 model and 2001 model also so some aftermarket dont just bolt on like they say!! You would have to cut or modify the decklid mounts!! I'm not sure I want to do this...
  16. Holds the moving plastic piston onto the rear wing to make the wing move up and down.. I lost one...
  17. Loren you have been such a great help I just paypaled you a contribution and wish you the best of luck!! I emailed you at dsldesigns but i guess that site is gone!! Don Watson just sent me the link to your site, I'm sure there are others that would like to find it but even a google search did not let me find the site.. Oh well IM HERE!!!
