  1. Iogray, That's a great question thanks for the reply, I did have the AOS replaced recently maybe this was residual from the earlier failure? I did replace the filter with an OEM one, I'm curious to see if the residue appears again.
  2. I'm not sure how the 06 C2 mounts to the top motor but I had a plastic ball cup fail on the left side of my 987, I think I opened it about half way and went in with a flash light to verify. After I had it replaced it went up and down evenly with no trouble. Knocking on wood...
  3. So I cracked open my 987 engine compartment and noticed a bit of oil sitting at the bottom of the Air Filter. Should there be a concern here?
  4. Thanks for the reply, that's some good information. I wonder if the lemon law requires the 3-4 weeks to be consequitive? Latest update, it was the water pump that went, will be replaced under warranty. I'm considering installing the low temperature thermostat from LN engineering at the same time. Does anybody have any thoughts on this, any performance, improved engine reliability? Thanks, Alex
  5. Driving down the hill to work today and heard a "pop", then the "warning battery generator" error code came up. Had the car towed for the 3rd time since Oct (AOS, AMS failures) to the dealership where I purchased it. I've got the extended warranty but I'm at the end of my tether with testing rental cars. I suspect serpentine belt, or water pump has failed somewhere. Anybody know of a good Porsche mechanic near Orange County, San Diego CA area who can perform a thorough inspection? -Alex
  6. My Air oil separator and air mass sensor blew within 14 days of each other, my question is... these parts seem related, does the failure of the AOS and AMS predict another problem in the near future? I'm approaching the 70k service too. Sincerely, Alex
