  1. Agree on Gennady's shop ... SSI Performance in Towson is also another option.
  2. Change your oil and filter before storing. You want to remove any corrosive acids that may have formed as a by-product of the combustion process and been picked up in the motor oil. Best way is to drain, replace the filter, and fill with fresh oil. Running the engine up to operating temperature will boil off any moisture.
  3. So I've often wondered, and cannot find in the owners manual, what the replacement interval is for the coolant in a 996 [MY2006 to be exact]. What is the recommended service interval for the coolant? Is it in there for life? Some of this stuff is pretty good now, and I do all my additions with 50%/50% distilled water and Porsche antifreeze, but I would hate to get to the point where it changes color! [Motorweeks Pat Goss always says that if the fluids have changed color, they've been in their way too long.]
  4. Guys - I'm looking for a drawing or photo that shows how the trim panel that extends from the back of the carpeted rear package shelf up to the base of the rear window is attached. I believe it is the source of an annoying ticking type noise. and I can see that the center clip is pulled out, however, when pushing it back in it will not fasten correctly and stay in place. How is this black vinyl panel attached, what do the clips look like, and how many and where are they located. I figured I better ask first before I start yanking on things. Thanks in advance for your help. Opps. MY 2000 996 coupe.
