  1. Just wondering if the camber adjustment is limited to the small cam adjustments located on my lower trailing arm, 99 C2. Also, the manual says to adjust just the (B) bolt cam, and not the (A) bolt cam. Seems to me they should be adjusted together to keep the wheel and tire tow the same. By the way, I bought the car lowered and I don't think it was done correctly.

    The same thing happened to me. I went Porsche and bought the fuel return line for $93. The part # is 996-201-271-01

    .How did you attach the part to the regular fuel line? I'm looking at it and I have no clue how to do it. The parts guy told me that it is a squeeze release, but it does not look like it at all.

    I ordered the part overnight for tomorrow.

    I was replacing the coolent tank on my 99 996 when I pulled the, what I believe is the, return fule line appart. The line is below the coolant tank. It is heated and swedged to the fitting fastened on the fuel rails. I have Mac Givered the line with an insert and fuel hose clamps. I have not been able to identify, through my parts book or my Porshe DVD the part number or how to replace it. I am an ex race car owner-driver and seem to allways learn the hard way. I have looked at the line and it looks like it will be allot of fun to replace!!!

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would really like to replace the line with Porsche parts.

    P. S. I know what your thinking. I didn't race NASCAR !!!!

    The Part number I used was 996-201-275-02. It is a updated part number. The end just pushes on, and squeezes off. It's kinda fun to get off.

  5. I've used 10-40 syn since I owned the car 99 911 996 but just put 15-50 syn in. The car seems to run rough. Any input? The weather is about 80F.

    When is it running rough? On a cold engine, when fully warmed up, idling, cruising, all the above? Make sure dip stick and oil cap are on tight.

    Idling. The dip and cap are on tight.

  6. I was sent the wrong cats by a company, who I will not mention, and they don't know what they are for. They think they are for a 986. They are Dansk 100 cell cats, I know not for a 996, but I don't know what year Boxster. There is a number 41016 stamped on both of them. If any one can help identify them please do. I have pictures of them and they look like 986 cats. If you want pictures I'll be glad to send them. Thanks, Eric

  7. Check Engine Light came on error code P1123. Says engine bank 123 is running lean. I've looked and can find no one with this code. Any help? Eric

    P1123 menas tha the O2 sensor is reading Bank 1 as being RICH. I would first clean the MAF with electronics cleaner. Could also be a leaky injector or bad plugs.

    Thanks. I cleaned the MAF, I replaced the plugs 4 months or a thousand miles ago. Injectors I haven't checked.

    Your car is a MY99 C4? Hmm... If that is what you car is it should not have a P1123. What is your MY and model?

    What did you use to get the code?

    P1123 - Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 1 (Cylinders 1 - 3) - Lean Threshold

    Which means that side is running too RICH not too lean. "Lean threshold" means the DME can not lean the mixture enough.

    Have an early 99 c4, that is 2 wheel drive. Took code with OBDII tester.

    If your car is 2 wheel drive, it is a C2. You may also just had a blip in the system. Try rebooting the computer by disconnecting the negative cable on the battery for 5 minutes. You will have to re-enter your radio code. It will also take a few drive cycles to get the idle back to normal and solid.

  9. Have a '01 911 Carrera 2 (49K Miles).  Check engine light came on Friday, got it checked and reset at Autozone, ODB Code: P1128.  About 5 days later, it came on again... taking it to the dealer tomorrow.

    Car runs perfectly, although idle wavers very slightly at rest.  Any thoughts?  Thinking MAF? 

    I have the Autosource extended warranty, so hoping it is all covered.  Thanks, Ross (Newbie)

    A good chance it's the fuel cap. Just tighten it, or it may need replacing.

I am replacing the front bumper cover to my 99-996 from Ruf to Porsche GT3.  I don't have any idea where to get ducting, or even what kind of ducting the GT3 front cover requires.  The parts manual, nor the cd manual I have, doesn't have any information that I can locate.  If someone out there has any information, please let me know!

    Sorry. The car is a 99-996-Carrea C4. I am putting a GT3 bumper cover on it.
