  1. when I had some steering wheel squeaks when going over rough surface, it turned out to be worn out front strut mounts. Hope this helps.
  2. ok, thanks, this is exactly the answer I was looking for.
  3. it seems there are two clips inside the slot that's preventing the stereo unit from being pushed directly back in. Do I need to remove the A/C control unit first before I can reinstall the head unit? Or isthere some kind of trick? Thanks.
  4. After driving a 2004 Boxster loaner car for a week while my 99 996 C2 was in the dealer for service, the steering feel of my 996 feels quite a bit lighter than the boxster. Does anyone else notice the same thing, or is there something wrong with my car? Maybe some bushings are worn out?
  5. Whenever I drive over rough road surface, or turn the steering wheel. I can hear squeaking sound coming from the steering wheel console. It just developed recently. I noticed no difference in steering feel or response. Could be the contact of the horn needing lubrication or something else? My car is a 99 carrera 2 coupe. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks a lot!
  6. Does anyone have a DIY instructon for removing the in-dash CD/casstte player? I'm sure some special tools are needed, where can I buy them at? Thanks a lot!
