boxster-s-dk replied to rporzio's topic in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)Very very nice...perfect wheels and GT3 skirt Welcome Regards Stefan Denmark
Sounds like coil pack or maybe check camshaft deviation, worst case might be IMS bearing that is on the way out, so it turns on engine fault?? Your oil pressure is still very low, when idle hot. I have 2,2 bar hot, and 4,5 when cold...I use Millers Nanodrive 10w-50 (but only 2 years old engine) Good luck Stefan Denmark
Hey great for you...what has been done to the engine? It should be great weather here in Copenhagen this weekend;-))
Is it a 3.4 or 3.6.? Hope you are right, about taking the car to germany...but I think you are... They must know a lot more about these engines, and how to fix them right, than MLA. I have only nice to say about MLA Copenhagen, but you pay the price;-)) Good luck, and maybe I will see you on the road, here in CPH;-) Let us know further more about how it goes... Regards Stefan Dk
Any news fra MLA Copenhagen?
Does not sound good, sounds like pistons might pumping air in your coolant. Look at your coolant fluid, it must be clear and light red, otherwise you have a big problem. (Nice to see another from Copenhagen) Held og lykke Stefan Copenhagen
Change it anyway, then you will have a peace in mind ;-) I would...
The car sounds nice, but I would not buy a 996 with an engine fault to start with, no matter what. Get the seller to fix it, before you buy it... Best of luck Stefan Dk
Buy another, without the fault...;-))
I went only for one that had a PCM2...
boxster-s-dk replied to valfam's topic in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)Uhh that's easy...Millers Nanodrive 5w-40;-))
boxster-s-dk replied to valfam's topic in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)Just don't ask about IMS or bore scoring;-)) Anything else...anything;-)))
Thanks but I think prefer a new one;-) But ofcourse I will sell the old one...
Will the OEM 997 shifter fit my 996 short shifter...I dont want short shifter anymore? If so, does anybody got a partnumber for a complete oem 997 kit? Regards
