  1. Hi Loren, Appreciate the help. It's an 08, not sure if that matters. I used a normal obd2 scanner, not durametric. I'm not seeing much on this code either, mainly why I'm asking for any ideas. Thanks
  2. Hi everyone, It's been a while since I've been on here...thank the Porsche Gods. Here recently my wife's cayenne has been throwing a cel. Usually after getting gas it turns itself off. The first time this happened was back in March. I bought a new gas cap back to see if that was the problem and the light went off and stayed off for 6 months and 10,000 miles. Here recently it's been coming on with the p12a1 code and now it's showing a p2189 pending. Any ideas? Could the gas cap be going out again? Not likely I wouldn't think. Any help would be great.
  3. Hi everyone, Looking at an 05 turbo cab that appears to be non s, however it has the dual exhaust tips that you see on the turbo s. Does it have the performance package or x50 possibly? Need advice before making offer if someone could please tell me the options on it I would really appreciate it. I did check the vin decoder under documents, but it said it cannot decipher those options. Vin # is below. Thanks in advance! WP0CB29965S675125
  4. Nevermind, I pulled the carpet again and this time pulled the black protective stuff up too, and sure enough it was slightly wet. I felt around on the bottom of the tank and It felt damp. I guess my final question is this. Would a leaking tank explain the large loss of coolant up by the right rear passenger tire? I sure hope there is nothing else going on.
  5. harryrcb, thanks for the info. tank is fine, no leaks when I pulled the carpet. The cap ends in 03. I checked the fuse for that radiator fan and it was fine. Does anyone know which relay it is? Is it in the back where the DME is? Thanks
  6. Thanks Iogray for the suggestions. I found the bleeding instructions, but I believe mine is different because it's a tiptronic. I'm positive it's anti-freeze. What's with the left front fan not coming on? I'm fairly certain that it is related.
  7. Update- I put some more coolant in it and left the cap off for about 5 minutes while idling. I'm thinking maybe there was air in the system. When the radiator fan kicked on I noticed only the right side radiator is working. If the left one is clogged could it backing up causing this leak? Thanks for any help anyone might have.
  8. Hey everyone. Need some help on a coolant leak. I came out to the garage today and there was a puddle going from under the rear passenger tire draining back. I started the car and could see it coming out from the location I'm pointing to in the picture. Is it a lose or bad hose? I pulled the carpet to check around the expansion tank and it was totally dry. Thanks for any help.
  9. Thanks pk, I appreciate it very much! Too bad the part is back ordered for 3 more weeks.
  10. I recently had the p0446 show up on my 99 box. I erased it and it came back within several days. Symptoms-The car will crank up perfect on a cold start. If you drive somewhere and let the car sit for more than 30 minutes it's hard to start. Usually takes about 8 seconds to start and then you have to give it gas for several seconds before the idle is consistent. Took it to the dealer today and the repair was (Shut off valve vent tank vent line replacement). They wanted $600 :o for labor. The parts weren't so bad at $150. This included the tank vent line, electrical connector and the housing. I ordered the parts and declined the repair. Has anyone had this issue, and if so was this the correct fix? Also if you have done this repair does anyone have a diy? Thanks for any insight. I really do appreciate it!
  11. Did these codes ever come back? I have the exact same three codes. Car has a hard time starting about 1/5 times. Any advice?
  12. Any update on the 1124/1126 codes? Surely someone has had this fixed since 2005.
  13. I checked the driver side post cat 02 and it was toast. So apparently when the shop said they replaced them they must've forgotten one. Changed it out and after driving it 500 miles since yesterday there is no CEL!! I averaged around 30 mpg and the vehicle seems to run smoother now as well.
  14. Hi everyone, New to the forum and what a way to start. I have a 99 boxster with 95k miles. I've been getting codes for o2 sensors for several months now. I had p1117, p1121, p1124 and p1126. I also had P0446 one time I checked the codes which I guess is a purge valve? I started by replacing all o2 sensors and the mass air flow. p1117 and p1121 came back within 15 minutes of driving and the others came back within the second or third drive cycle. I cleared all the codes two days ago to see what it was currently showing. So, after about 200 miles, a big bottle of gumout and some spirited driving over the past few days I (just) have p1117 and p1121. I am taking it to my mechanic tomorrow, which is 200 miles away, but he's good and cheap. Where do we start? Checking the 02 sensor values? If so what should the range be? Checking wiring from sensors and trace it to dme? Has anyone seen this before? Thank you in advance for any insight or diagrams which may lead to a cure.
