  1. Has anyone installed these yet on their car... just wondering how hard it is and the process in order to hook them up. i have a stock 2002 c2 front bumper... any feedback would greatly help.. Thanks.
  2. i just ordered the led side marker bulbs and led drls(Phillips 8) but am concerned about hooking them up. Someone said that there are instructions that come in the box to connect up to the battery and that it is easy, was it easy for you? I too have a black 996 cab and love it and find myself adding more and more mods to it...its adicting..would love to see your pics of all your lighting upgrades..
  3. i am back to seeing if this same set of wheels will fit but i found out that the rear wheel is 10.5 x 18"..still ok to use..They are aftermarket wheels..thanks.
  4. Thanks Loren..i think i will just keep the stock one for now then..
  5. Does anyone have any advise on these as to if they really work or not. I am toying with the idea of adding the fabspeed cold air intake as a tuning shop had recomendeed it to me. i know it only adds 5-10 horsepower supposedly but if feel like every little bit could help my 996 go a little faster( i hope) thanks. Brian
  6. @Jimmy, Are you looking to sell your Chrome Turbo Twist Wheels and Tires? Let me know all the info if you are...Thanks..
  7. i have a 2002 996 cabriolet C2 and are looking to get a set of chrome wheels and tires that are 225/40/ZR18 offset 50 and Rear 265/35/ZR18 Offset 65 but am afraid that somehow they will not fit my car.My present wheels and tires are Front 205/50/ZR17 and Rear 255/40/ZR17. They were on a 2001 996 Cab C4 and i thought those were considered wide body cars hence my concern of fiting my narrow body car.. Any Thoughts???? Thx.
  8. it basically looks the same as one of the previous posts to this thread. i think they look awesome on my black car and except for a little hicup in the begining( no instructions) they were perfect fit with no problems of any kind.
  9. no, not yet. I was a little concerned in the begining being that they were the asian kind of led and the connections are a little funky but they make the car look awesome above the old style. I too have a black cabriolet but mine is 2002 and either set would make the car look great. I was going to get the dectane lights which i thought are a little better looking but i had already purchased the Spyder ones and for me spending another $270.00 and waiting a month before i could get them i just figured i would keep the ones that i got. Purchased them from Amazon so any problems and i'll send right back...
  10. i was pretty sure that the connectors were supposed to go one way because that is how the bulbs fit, i just wanted to be sure given there were no instructions. i figured it out...
  11. Help??? I purchased the Spyder leds and am trying to put them on. Either i am a spaze or these are not plug and play. i watched their video and my color connected lights are different and seem to be rearranged and i do not want to blow a fuse if i can help it. I have a 2002 996 Cabriolet and my lenses only have 2 actual led plugs sockets that came with it and seem to only fit the white/clear socket and black socket. my orange i would leave with orange bulb(i guess) and then my other white/clear came off the car with no bulb in it and a little bulb on the end which i think i should plug into the little led connector or just leave off...not sure. Am i doing this correctly.. any one have this much trouble or have a similar experience???Any help would be greatly appreciated....Thank you in advance!!!!!!!
  12. Thanks a lot guys, that is some awesome information i will look tonight. My car is a 2002 Cabriolet..but being a Cab shouldn't matter. That seams weird that earlier cars than 02 need no resistors... Love the pic white99c2...
  13. Just wondering how hard it would be to swap out the old rear tail lights and install new leds for the do it yourselfer? All literature says must use professional installer...Thanks.
  14. Cannot locate the tech Tips section listed above by Loren, is it still searchable because the post was back in 2003? thanks.
  15. i know what you mean, i have an 02 Cab as well but my problem is the direct back looks fine but on either side(left and right) mine seam to hang down there. in the corners. I often looked at it like it was not normal but i do not have any problems with my top so i am afraid to try to dress it up nicely for fear that i might mess something up. Anyone else have a problem/concern with theirs or maybe mine is somehow messed up from the previous owner who i bought the car from. thanks, Brian
  16. i just invested $$$ in the side skirts, rear wing and front lip spoiler which i will paint in the spring. I have an 02 996 cabrio and i also wanted to spruce it up a bit. I purchased my parts from Better Bodies motorsports who are an actual manufacturer and they provide installation instructions on you tube that do not look that hard if you take your time. As far as painting them i will paint my self(if you feel confident) as i have a compressor, gun and will just have to purchase the paint as i have painted some vehicles in the past it is not that hard but you just need to take your time. Otherwise you will have to pay some $$$ to use a body shop for paint and maybe installation. now i just need to get a rear spoiler deck lid wiring harness, for when i switch to my new rear wing and do not want the light on my dash all the time, does anyone know the part number for that and would you just purchase from a pelican parts,ect,ect....Thanks..
  17. does anyone have a good source for a decent indoor cover to cover my entire 2002 996 Cabriolet for around $150.00 and which model would you choose? I know some models and manufacturers are better than others, anyone with good experiences with any> thanks...
  18. I love the pictures of your car and the mods that you did they came out awesome. Now if i could only do that on my black 2002 cab. but i am still unsure of which aero spoiler to purchase and from where? I will try dc auto for used i guess, was your skirts and spoiler fiberglass or polyurethane. Thx.
  19. thanks for the info, looking to purchase the side skirts now and was wondering if i could do what you did and somehow just purchase the spoiler and mount it to the deck lid and not have to buy the entire rear wing with spolier because thats how it comes anyway...Was it tough to modify?
  20. I know you purchased used but what company would you recomend to purchase a rear spoiler and side skirts? Would love to see pics of your car...thanks..
