  1. Has anyone replaced or know any details about replacing the convertible top motor for a 996? Thanks Bill
  2. Thanks, I got some fluid and will use the emergency opening instructions to get at the pump.
  3. I have a 2000 996 with the optional hard top, well the other day I finally took the hard top off and attempted to put the soft top up, it went up and down a couple of times but I had to assist it when trying to latch at the windshield (it would get about 2 inches away and stop); The real problem that I have is that after trying the rocker switch a couple of times nothing happens anymore - the roof cover doesn't retract to allow the soft top to come up, I can hear a pump or something turning on and the red dash light came on and flashes when I push the rocker panel button. Do you guys think that this is possibly a low fluid issue or maybe something more serious? Thanks Bill PS - I put the hard top back on for now so that I can still drive the car, but it would be nice to know what the problem is. I also attempted to use the door key switch and nothing happened.
  4. I just bought a 2004 Cayenne S, the vehicle runs great but theres a strange noise coming from the dash area that to me sounds like maybe an air conditioner compressor???? Any ideas on what this may be? Thanks
  5. I've always had a V-1 and loved it, but when I got my 996 it had one built into the grill which is a great idea; couldn't imagine driving a car that does >175mph without a radar detector.
