  1. I have a 99 C4 and I have always been a little disappointed with the in car sound and would like to improve this.

I take it I will have to get a new exhaust/muffler? Whats the best ones on the market?

I am not looking for optimum performance, but I am looking for good sound and something that can be quieter as I leave the house before 6am and want to live with my neighbours. It mustnt compromise the realiabilty either.

If I go easy on the gas are these exhausts quieter in the morhning? I heard of a quiet switch on the porsche unit to get past the EU regs?

    appreciate any comment

  2. My old style release levers (replaced on 02 model) have worn where my big feet catch them as I get in the car, the silver paint has gone to leave just the ugly black plastic. What options do I have to replace them:

    - I could repaint them (regularly)

    - Find some metal replacements (preferred option)

    - Put black boxster parts on (yuk)

    - upgrade to the later electric releases (£$£$)

Anyone have any ideas or other suggestions?

    :help:
