No you arent alone... I sometimes get it on my UK 99 C4 but only rarely.

If I wanted to fit the later headlights onto my early 996 would the upgrade just involve new light pods and bumper? (I fear not....)
...then I would have to work out how upgrade the cupholders and glove box... then the extra 200cc... then... :D

I have a 99 C4 and I have always been a little disappointed with the in car sound and would like to improve this.
I take it I will have to get a new exhaust/muffler? Whats the best ones on the market?
I am not looking for optimum performance, but I am looking for good sound and something that can be quieter as I leave the house before 6am and want to live with my neighbours. It mustnt compromise the realiabilty either.
If I go easy on the gas are these exhausts quieter in the morhning? I heard of a quiet switch on the porsche unit to get past the EU regs?

My old style release levers (replaced on 02 model) have worn where my big feet catch them as I get in the car, the silver paint has gone to leave just the ugly black plastic. What options do I have to replace them:
- I could repaint them (regularly)
- Find some metal replacements (preferred option)
- Put black boxster parts on (yuk)
- upgrade to the later electric releases (£$£$)
Anyone have any ideas or other suggestions?

It must be relatively easy to get it cast the part in alloy, there would be a good market out there especially with the same part being used in the boxster, anyone know of such a manufacturer?
