2002 Boxster S, when I raise the passenger window using the center console switch the mirror heater turns itself on. Not a coincidence, happens repeatedly. I have looked thru the topics here and haven't seen this mentioned before. Any help will be appreciated before tearing into the dash with a meter. Thanks

I tested all of the modules, but apparantly the NO circuit with the resisters for the airbag was ok and did not show up as a fault. I dont have seat memory or anything like that in my car and was not able to find any modules with faults relating to the seat belt warning light. The spoiler issue I believe was related to the rear relay panel beacuse I pulled it out to check and after I pushed it back into place the light operated corrrectly. -
So Loren, should I start by comparing the oat value in the duratetric actual value to the outside temp using another thermometer before I presume the a/c controller to be faulty. (not trying to over simplify). But from what I'm reading above if the other values display correctly (speed, etc.) this would seem to be the cause?

Based on Lorens recommendations I purchased a Durametric tool. Ran a scan and found nothing relating to this. I disconnected the drivers belt connector under the seat and jumped out the pins. The dash light came on indicating a bad NC switch in the belt recepticle. I have since replaced and the problem is solved. Thanks to all. I completed the OBC hack on my 2002 Boxster using two convertible top switches and made custom buttons by sanding the stenciled outlines off and painting them black with a single dot of white exposed, then cleared them. When backlit they look really good. Here is the issue. Everything works great, the average mph, mpg, max speed setting, and reset all behave correctly. The problem is with the oat display, it only shows dashes. Ran a scan with my Durametric and there are no problems with the cluster. The auto a/c module shows a fault 35 no communication with cluster. I have searched this fourm and several others, and have googled more variations than I can remember and can find no reference to this fault. I am able to see the oat through Durametric so I know the sensor is working. Does anyone know what the plug and terminal locations are on the a/c module and the cluster so I can check for continuity? Also there are only two plugs attached to my a/c module (black and red), and there are spaces for more. Am I missing something or are the other sockets for other model specific options. I know that the obc hack has been covered many, many times, but I can't find anything on this. Thanks.

With all of the other lights operational is there anything else that would cause either of those two not to work when the ignition is turned on? -
I have a problem with my 2002 Boxster S. When I first turn on the ignition and the warning lights illuminate in the diagnostic mode I get no seatbelt or rear spoiler lights. Removed the cluster and opened hoping to find a bad bulb only to discover that the warning lights are LEDs on the circuit board. On the seat belat issue I have checked under the seats to see if the seat belt wire had been cut or grounded as described in another thread. All appears ok. Disconnected the seats, same problem. (airbag light had to be reset anyway). Any suggestions on how to proceed on either issue?
