  1. I guess I will learn to love the smell of 'napalm in the morning'. I will be more forceful with the car...drive like it likes to be ridden. thanks for the input!
  2. When I drive my 2006 c2s cab it smells like the engine is burning. I have heard about the cosmoline smell that is typical with these cars, but this seems to go above and beyond. That was the dealer's response when I asked about it - cosmoline. It is to the point that passengers comment about it when the top is down, when we stop at a stoplight. It has had this smell this since I bought it 6 months ago. Doesn't seem normal. I don't drive particularly spirited either. Even on a short ride, never reving above 4k rpm, I pull into garage and smell that burn smell. I don't think a car should offend its passengers or owner! No other car I have owned smells this way. Any suggestions?
  3. I have a 2006 C2S Cabriolet. Has 39k miles on it. I had a diagnostic on the car done at Porsche Dealer. It had 76 ignitions in range 1, 5 in range 2, and 1 in range 3. The dealer said it appeared that it was redlined that one time in range 3. Is that all? it had no data under range 4,5 and 6. Are these numbers normal? Thanks!!
  4. I might need a stock muffler and tips. My passenger side seems to have been bumped into, and the car now has a rattle after first starting. I have a 2006 997s Cab. I assume yours would fit. Anyway u can contact me? I am unsure how to contact u directly from post! thanks.
  5. I have a 2006 C2S. I see tiny bits of water in tail pipes after first running engine. Is this normal?
  6. I have a 2006 C2S Cabriolet. The passenger side of the top doesn't come up as fast as the driver side. I have to manually assist it as it closes or opens, pulling or pushing until gravity takes over. If I don't manually assist it, the " not in limit position" light comes on and the top won't close or open. I had it inspected at a Porsche dealer. The diagnostic did not show any error codes according to them. I just bought the car 2 weeks ago. It has 39k miles on it. Of course it worked when I bought it from previous owner. HELP! anything simple I can do?
