  1. Yes. It does connect to the solenoid. It looks like that connects to PSE (which I don't have - could have been on originally) and probably something else. I haven't seen any negative running or codes with this unplugged. I'll plug it in and see if I notice any difference. The PSE lines are capped.
  2. I was tooling around in the engine bay and noticed the connector shown in the attached photo disconnected. Can anyone tell me what this is?? As far as I know it's been disconnected since I've had the car.02 C4S
  3. Thanks guys. I was planning on ordering it eventually. This will give me a reason to get it now.
  4. Does anybody know if the Bentley has a good explanation for replacing the steering rack? Mine is leaking and would like to replace myself with a rebuilt unit if possible.
  5. Can anybody help identify the hose in the middle of this pic (the one that is starting to split)? Noticed yesterday when changing the engine mounts.
  6. Drain the oil and see what it looks like. I'd probably have it towed to a shop and have them diagnose.
  7. I ordered about 3 weeks ago and still waiting shipment. Much of the wait is due to wait for core returns.
  8. I had this problem with no pattern at all. I would go a week with no message then get an error 5 starts in a row. Turned out to be my brake switch at the pedal. Swapped it out and no more ABS/PSM errors.
  9. I think 2001 was the last year for spark plug tubes. I don't think any of the 3.6 engines had them.
  10. I just changed plugs coils on my 02 C4S. Took about 4 hours for me taking my time and checking things out since it was my first time doing this on a Porsche. I've seen people say they do it without dropping the exhaust but I don't see how. No plug tubes on my car. My total cost doing coils and plugs myself was about $300. I guess it would cost about that much just for the plugs at the dealer but I didn't price it out.
  11. Does anybody know the part # for the fill plug on the front diff? Thanks.
