just saw a nice video in YouTube
can a leak like this cause zero boost
-
hi all.
after a night of wot I suddenly lost boost
I have zero boost with this faults p1248 , P0299 , P1080 2008 cayenne turbo
if I clear the codes p1248 shows then the rest show up later when I drive
I changed both diverter valves one was not sealing I changed driver side turbo to intercooler Oring 3oz of oil
still no boost ?
-
if its not stalling during warm up it means all fuel pluming is fine
disconnect mafs and start the car
please reply back
-
did you solve the problem
I got the same code fault code is P1248 (Basic boost pressure adaption)
08CTT
-
v6 cayenne use vw engines
first thing to check would be plugs and coils.
second fuel pump pressure and output
all off the above would trigger all kind of sensors to give fault code
clean the maf
after this clear the codes and report back
good luck

Found the same problem a couple weeks ago while replacing the cornering lights...
Simply wrapped the wires in electrical tape and re-installed the headlight assembly. Seemed to do the trick.
use good quality electrical tape and it should work

inspect cv joints
and to extend cv axel life some people will change the grease and new boots every 3 years specially dusty areas or rainy areas
and some time cv axel just fail clunk or grind just like wheel bearing and other type off bearings
you can get really good used axels on ebay or junkyards . q7 and touareg axles should fit as well
-
its the hydraulic Engine mounts
they need replacing
I learned just to live with it since its not engine drivetrain related
I just installed the loudest exhaust system when the idle you wont feel it
good luck all

thank you I will check

I sucked the water from the expansion tank its clean
there is two things I am suspecting
1- it could grease from failing water pump. bearings
2- a water leak somewhere and the car wash guy sprayed the hole engine bay with some sort of white fuel we call it locally Gas or kerosene its got into the cooling system.
otherwise head gasket
all comments are welcome

pull the door trim and left up the drivers carpet
you well see bunch of wires going to the fuse box some of the wires are joint by the factory
there known to rust .
if bad wires joint found connect them back together
keep us posted
some videos in YouTube for cayennes and touareqs should be helpful too
