  1. ToolPants posted a picture of my car... here is a picture of the console put back together... (note that I switched the normally leather front side parts and the center (rear) armrest parts out to be arctic silver) I have and I like it. They cost around $4k, but I had lots going on and cannot tell you an exact price. It took a few hours (about 4 I think) to have installed. Your question..."is it worth it'? It was for me, but I imagine it is not 'worth it' for many people as it does not add HP. However, part of why I did it was that almost nobody has it.... and I like that. It does not bother me to not be able to 'skip' gears as with only a 2.5" throw (from vertical) it really is no big deal to 'ratchet' up or down through the gears. My car is presently for sale... I may have the shifter pulled and sold on the side.
  2. On the back side of the stock seats, there is a panel (hard, seems to not be leather) that I will call a kick panel. It is from the bottom of the seat to about halway up and it is radiused on the top, straight on the bottom. Can it be removed, / replaced? If so, how? Thanks in advance! Doug '02-C4S
  3. Don; That "skyhook" must make the job a lot easier. And, might I also add that you are my idol... a matching set of ladders no less! Very organized. :clapping: :notworthy: :clapping:  :clapping: :notworthy:
  4. Jeff; Thats a whole lot of screw holes! Looks like Porsche used more screws on those three pieces than the entire balance of the interior combined. Dang! Doug '02-C4S
  5. That will be great Don. I bet the car will look great with that new bumper and all. Doug '02-C4S
  6. FYI for anyone... The small silver crest (at least the one I found when I went looking) is in the 928 misc section, part number G-559-210-SLR. I was also trying to find the small silver crests that Ralphe Boothe uses for his spectacular wheel caps (from 356 hood handle I think) but I had no luck. Although those are metal and might hurt if the airbag was to go off :o Doug '02-C4S
  7. soo, like... Did you do this? If so I will trust your pictures rather than the EBay guy. I already have the factory silver crested leather airbag, but it's shortfall is that it does not contain the all important red color bars. Doug '02-C4S
  8. Jeff; Right you are !! Peter installed it just last week. Doug.
  9. Gotta love that shiny acrtic silver paint! ..but, Don, if you slow down or want to go straight or maybe turn right instead of the hard left, don't you fall out of the seat? Doug '02-C4S
  10. Ahh, at long last... In keeping up with the donfromcapecod'szz The oh console was installed yesterday by the dealer along with the Traffic pro (thanssk for the helpful advise Don) and the UmNitza V1 mirror, AS pockets, and "batwing". Soo, if I can manage a picture of the oh console...
  11. Yeah!! Local boy makes good! Congratulations! Thanks for all the very helpful, timely and insightful information... in advance !! Doug '02-C4S
