  1. When the Cayenne is raised on the hoist at the dealer for service, are the hoist pads placed under the rocker-panel jacking points, or some other chassis points? Anybody seen it done at the dealer? There's too many ways to get seriously injured or killed trying to do a brake job with the car jacked by the rocker-panel points only. Doesn't pass the Darwin test in my book.
  2. 2008 Cayenne V6: I have changed the oil/filter a couple of times. I've made the mistake of not draining the oil filter once, and absorbed the full amount of warm oil into my shirt, but never again. Cutting corners sometimes leads to comedy, glad the oil wasn't full temp. I'll tackle a 4-wheel brake job myself in the near future (currently 33,000 miles). Question: What is the trick to removing the V6 Engine cover? I have removed/replaced the small front portion without trouble, but cannot figure out how to get the main piece off. I keep reading to just pull it upward and off. There is no give in it anywhere. I would swear it doesn't come off. Please help if you can. Pull if from where? Grasp it where? Pry it where? Mine seems like it is glued down solidly. Thanks, Lance LaCour
