  1. Hello, I currently have the CDR 24 radio in my Boxster S. I do not have the telephone preparation option (618). I am considering to buy a used PCM unit (PN 997.642.101.05). This unit does have the GSM option build in but does not have the additional DVD player for in the front of the car. I am not planning on using the navigation since I prefer to use TomTom. What needs to be done beside the physical replacement of the old unit with the new PCM? Does the dealer need to do additional programing? Do I need additional parts to get the phone to work? Thanks in advance for all possible input.
  2. Loren, I will try out your advise this weekend. The window was replaced just before I bought the car due to a crack, so it could be the rootcause.
  3. Just bought a 2002 996 Carrera 4 cabrio TipTronic . The car is really great and I enjoy every second of it.
