  1. This may have been explored but if I upgrade to 19 inch wheels with same offset as factory 18's on my C4S will that limit any suspension upgrades such as the OEM X73. If I do any track time I plan on using the factory wheels with N4 PS2s. The 19's are only for street and show. I have read numerous posts about the suspension upgrade but everyone seems to still run 18 inch wheels... Btw...if anyone is considering mod of exhaust I installed Fabspeed Maxflo mufflers with FS CAI kit n it is sweet. WOT is addictive and start up and idle is pleasantly aggressive sounding. Just what I was looking for. The stock air box an just the muffler produced some resonance and the EVOMS kit did no sound as good to me. I can't say much about the actual performance gains but its a Porsche. Fast enough out the wrapper. Trash the 996 all you want...great car. Love the "dreamy eyed" headlights
  2. I just placed a post about the movement and noise of the PSP pulley because while doing my water pump I noticed the Pulley spins freely but makes some noise...I.e. not quiet like the other pulleys. Did your pulley present any problems...did it make any sounds...what was the end result. My 04 has 17K miles and this is preventive maintenance. I started to wait until more miles or signs of leaks but since the warranty starts at the time of purchase I thought I should get it in there. Also a tech I trust recommends the 2yr or 15K interval. I've read on these forums failures from cars with low and high miles.
  3. Replacing the water pump on MY04 C4S and after removing serpentine belt the check of pulleys revealed a noise in the power steering pulley in both direction. There are no drivability issues at this time. The cold fluid level is per spec. The alternator spins freely clockwise but makes a little clicking noise counterclockwise. Are these signs of pending or existing problems which need to be addressed. All my forum reading only mentions noise while car is driven. Any comments appreciated and Ill check back while I continue on the water pump replacement. I have attached a pic for reference
