  1. Sounds very much like the Air Oil seperator.

Does the squeel go away on opening the throttle, returns when allowed to idle.

I agree with the belt removed you have eliminated the pullys, one other thing to check - spark plugs are tight, It has been known for a loose plug to emmit a squeel as compression gasses squeeze by the loose plug

yes as soon as I open the throttle it goes a way . but it only happen when the car is right on the normal temp level . once I turn it off it does make a sound like fading air Whistle.

  2. Squealing noise coming from the engine compartment behind the seats?? I been hearing a squealing noise for the past few weeks . I stopped driving the car as soon as heard it and I left it for a while.the Noise is more like the ribbed drive belt but I took it out and I started the car for a half a minute and the noise came back. The noise start when the temp is 180 (between 1- 8). It fade if I press on the paddle but as soon as it’s in ideal and the engine within the normal temperature the squealing starts.. the car is fine in term of performance and no engine light check .when I removed the belt and I run the car the noise start shortly after … and once I turn it off I get this fading squealing noise like a fading Whistle.

With ribbed drive belt removed while checking the sources of the noise would that eliminate

The possibility of having a faulty water pump since the only pulley rotating is the crankshaft pulley?

Please let me know if anyone had that problem before

    Thank you all

  5. No way something this generic is going to be a solution w/o some modification in my oppinion. At that point you might as well bite the bullet and do it right. Door "stuff" is easy DIY for anyone with moderate skills. Buying the parts online would be the best way to go assuming yo have the right apart number from the failure and have confirmed the need.

It would seem highly unlikely that both would fail simultaneously, unless there is something furthur up streaming causing the common failure.

Did they fail at the same time or at different times? Maybe others can give specific ideas based on actual knowledge and not my general comments.

it failed about the same time . the dealer told me that the maduale is new but a short circt cause the door actuator to fail . I could hear the noise when I lock the doors by the remote but it does not lock . I have to lock both ways with the key .

If I am posting this topic at wrong form please some one tell me to move it

    THANK YOU ALL

  6. I did the following modification in my car and I must say ,the quality of the sound is great

    Alpine

    Amplifiers MRP-F250

    speaker SPR-13S

Head unit CDA-9887 ( the head unit works great with CD and radio but when you integrate your ipod into the headunit you would have a hard time going from one song to another)

    Ipod jack

I also don't have the rear speaker and I am happy with my sound system .

  7. I've found water leaked into the passenger side footwell floor during a downpour yesterday. A friend told me there was a TSB about this. Any ideas what the cure was/is?

    Thanks

    Carl

I would check the drain tubes . I think you should take it to the dealer ASAP . In my case the drains were packed , if the water leaks into the driver side , your car will not start and short ciructe will cause the door lock to brake and that alone cost over 2K to fix.

All I want say is to take it the dealer and make sure you put the cover on it for now

  8. Hi guys.

It was really cold for the past week and the car was covered in snow but I did start the car few times just to make sure everything is fine and when I first tried to start it. The car died immediately but then I pressed on the gas a littlie and the car started. Yesterday the snow was melted of the car so I tried to start the car and I could get it to start the engine fires then die in less than a second it (cranks but will start). I tried to press on the gas but nothing. I could hear the fuel pump buzzing and the battery was replaced a year go and I could turn in the headlight and its not week ,and the fuel tank is quarter full. One of the things I noticed when the car was covered in snow is that the throttle was harsh and if you press it will stick but now it feels normal.

  9. Hi every one

I had my soft top drains Clogges and It caused my car to be filled with water. Any way they told me they will fix the Clogged and take the carpet out and dry it and then install a new Module unit. Picked up my car every thing works . Few day later my center locking is not working and I checked under the seat the carptet still wet now the told me the door locking actuator for passenger and driver doors as well as fuel door is broking .they guy tell me that the module has nothing to do with all that and I checked from previous forms that if module is wet it will cause these stuff to go bad

what should I do konw and how can I get them to fix it for me .

  11. I am also thinking about adding door speaker .I really don't care much for the bass but what I really care about is the sound quality .I really hate driving the Boxster because of that problem. if any one know how to add door speaker that would be great. I bought the housing for the speaker but I really don't know what else I need to do the job. I am not the one who is doing the work .I just want to have all parts necessary to complete the job
