  1. I just had this done 3 weeks ago at a Porsche dealer. I priced the kit at 2 dealers and at a race shop. There is a less expensive kit made by B&M. Also, the internals can be upgraded from plastic to brass. Race shop wanted $700 for the aftermarket shifter and upgraded internals. One porsche dealer $515 for oem kit and second discounted that price by 25%. Went for least expensive. Car shifts waaaaaaay better. Better feel and more precise. I would definitely do it.
