  1. Hi guys, Can anyone help me out here? Dealer won't do it as they never done the service! I changed oil, filter, air filters, plugs. It is a 2004 cayenne turbo!
  2. Yeah I have read a lot of horror stories relating to the cooling system. But coolant pipe failure seem to cause sudden coolant loss! I will my local garage to pressure test the system. Had a porous water pump replaced in November time. So it's not that. Expansion seems ok! No cracks etc.
  3. Hi guys, Hope you can help or advise! My cayenne has recently started to use coolant! A tiny amount though so doubt it is the pipes. Replaced the water pump recently as it was bad. I am using maybe 500ml of coolant every 2 weeks or so. No water marks under car and no emulsified oil. Expansion tank looks ok also! I was wondering if anyone has had a bad expansion tank cap! I cleaned all around the cap last week and checked it today and there are water marks around where the cap screws on! What do you guys think?
  4. Surely I cannot be the only person to have this idea! Someone must know for certain! I know of touaregs that have cayenne rails fitted to them with no issue but it only takes a few mm of a difference!
  5. Thanks Loren. I wasn't looking at the rails it is the touareg roof rack that when not in use you can put them together and they look like a roof spoiler!
  6. Hi guys, I've been looking all over the bet for an answer to my question with no luck. I just need to know if these roof bars will fit on my 04 cayenne turbo? http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?index=0&sbk=1&nav=SEARCH&itemId=251292637864 I believe they will but then again I actually have never seen a cayenne with these fitted so I'm now beginning wonder if they won't. Need an answer quick as I'm watching a few sets online and don't wanna bid/buy and then find out they don't fit! Any help appreciated!
  7. Hi guy I need a straight answer! I've been all over forums looking for the best plugs to get and my brain is fried! Some say NGK PFR7Q, or ngk BKR7EIX, then other say stick to Bosch FGR6KQE or even Beru plugs. So then went onto the ngk website and put in all the details of my car and it came out with something else. Can someone please help me out. Just want the most fuel efficient, performance maximising plugs that will last.
  8. Hi again folks. so i just realised i hadnt operated the folding tow hitch on my cayenne so i pressed the button in the trunk and it would fold out. I tried the button a few times i could hear something like the motor trying to kick in but then it just stopped doing anything and the lights on the switch werent on. I then could hear the fans running even though i had the keys in my pocket. i then tried to switch ignition on and nothing would happen. I had to end up removing the fuse No.19 on the right hand side and this stopped the fans and made it possible to start car. What on earth has happened. If i put the fuse back in the fans would kick in and i cant turn ignition on. I have now left the fuse out, no choice, and i am getting the tow hitch fault warning constantly displayed on the dash. Has the faulty tow hitch perhaps shorted the whole ignition system or something? this car is driving me nuts with all the stupid little issues.
  9. would a dehumidifier help? If i had another car i would lift carpets to dry etc but need the car everyday for work etc
  10. Hi Guys, I drive a UK spec cayenne and for the last month or so i have noticed that my drivers side front, passenger side front and drivers side rear passenger carpets are wet and cannot find fault. Have check AC drain and this is clear, plus im not using the AC anyway as its so cold on Scotland. Ive also unblocked and actually removed the 2 rubber drains behind the wheel liner. They were badly blocked and a lot of water came out. Well that was a week ago and still the carpets are wet and dont seems to be drying. Ive had a fan heater in the car to help dry it out. Ive checked the sunroof drains and they are flowing fine. What else can i check? Also if i solved the problem last week by removing the rubber drains how long would it take to dry out? The carpets are saturated particularly the drivers side rear passenger. Any help appreciated. Weather is really wet and want to get to the bottom before electrics get damaged or rusting Chris
  11. Thanks for the reply! Only asked because I've never had a car that does this they always remain at the normal! The outside temp was around freezing when it happened!
  12. Hi Guys,i was out sitting in the car with engine running for what must have been about 20-30mins the other day and i noticed my engine temp was higher than normal. It rose and then suddenly fell back to normal and then would go back up and then back to normal. Nowhere near overheating etc. Once up to temp i have never noticed the temp to be anything other than right in the middle. Is this anything to worry about? As soon as i drove off the temp went to the middle, as normal. Thanks in advance.Chris
  13. Hi guy, I have a wet floor in front right! It's a uk spec so the steering etc is on the right hand side! I have tried to find the ac drain pipe but can't see it! Will the ac pipe still be on the right hand side?
  14. im getting a park assist problem. works fine when drive but as soon as i go into reverse or neutral the red lights come on on both the rear and front led displays. I am thinking there muast be an issue with the rears sensors as i never get this problem when in drive. Also it is intermittent. Mostly it doesnt work but then every now and then it will work properly. Is there a way of getting acces to rear sensors without having to remove the rear bumper/fender?
