  1. Thank you for your analysis and the paperweight point, one often reads to much into the warranty aspects. I guess I will leave well alone.
  2. I have 2004 911 cabrolet with approx. 65000 miles on it. It runs fine doesnt use any oil but I see advertisements in the Panorama for EPS-IMS Bearing Upgrade Kit (Vertex Automotive) so I am wondering if I should consider this option which gives they say a 5yre warranty/ 30,000 warranty which will probably carry me through my lifetime!!!!!
  3. Hello Alex, I have just done the same chnage I have had a Boxtsre and upgraded to a Boxster S over10 years and absolutaly enjoyed both, Just recently saw a 2004 Carrera cabrolet with 28kb on it managed to tarde in my 2001 Boxster with 40km on it for this with $19k, the trade in being doiuble ehat the dealer offereme against a new one!!!!!!! Now as to differences, I am still getting used to the 911 but apart from the points already mentioned the ride does seem to be higher on the road and as yet the cornering is different but I think its getting used to arear engine drive with the boxster mid engine it was not an issue at any speed seemingly. I drive with the top down all the time even in winter but initially I do find the 911 to be not as comfortable as the boxster and am looking at gettinga an overpriced windstop?. Kilbyson
  4. I have just purchased a 2004 Carrera Cab and noted it was missing the lighter socket plug. so I asked the dealer to send me the lighter from my Boxtser S 2001 that I traded in thinking it would be pretty much a standard fitting. Actually it is fractionally to big to fit in the hole. Can I just file down the outer entry edge to fit? Its not as if I want to use it as I do not smoke but the gaping hole is a distraction Kilbyson
