  1. Installed yesterday night the new yellow belts. Oh, that is not an easy task. At least not a fast DIY job. Took almost 3 hours to exchange the 4 seat belts, needed to remove many pieces to access the rear belts.. Not as easy as swapping the front ones... But it´s DONE now!!! Thanks for all the help!
  2. Hello to all! I´d like to know how hard is to unmount the GT3 seat so I can send the rear cover to paint ? It is hard, easy ? I can have it painted pretty cheap at a paint shop near me if I only take the cover to them, while the dealer wants a fortune to do everything... Thanks in advance :D Conrado

  6. Hello, I have a 98 996 C2 with DSP processor (the device on the lower console with HIFI, DSP, POP, etc buttons) and I was planning upgrading my sound system, with new AMP and SPEAKERS, but I wanted to leave the head unit and the DSP control. ANyone knows the sound route from the Head unit ??? And DSP, how its connections works ? Thanks in advance !!!
  7. Hello Guys! Today I installed the GT3 Roll bar and other stuffs. Actually I installed the Sports Bar, the one without the cross bar. (That's because I'm a little tall) Well I have to thank you guys for the great instructions. I've mixed Wolfgang and Rockitman instructions. First I installed the colored seat belts, so I had to remove the side panels, and reached easily the rocker plastic panel, but I didn't cut it, as my other friend insisted that this feature was only for the "crossed" bar. Then I closed everything and moved the roll bar into the car, very easy. BUT after placing it in the correct position, it was impossible to bolt it. (Rockitman probably used a different longer bolt to crush the plastic panel, right ?) Then, instead of removing all the side panels again, as the roll bar was already there, I managed to remove the lower carpet only, by pushing the side panel bottom just a little off! (Saved some 30 min at least!!!) Than I cut the plastic, and PERFECT, the roll bar was now able to bolt in! Then just minor issues bolting them (For me best way was bolting the fronts first) and the roll bar and colored seat belts ready! It's a tought job, but very rewarding after you finish! Now I just need to get those beautiful GT3 seats !!! (Next Month) Oh, also I swaped my broken center console, upgraded e-brake to carbon one and added a carbon shifter, and the GT3 console delete... Done after the Roll bar installation, it was SO MUCH easier to do.... Well, bottom line is it seems that I bought a new car... it's completely different!!!! Thanks for all the help! Conrado 996 C2 1998 with some Mods!
  8. There I was, happy with my PSE during a track day... on the way back, I clicked on the switch to turn it off, but the PSE only stayed on. after various checks, I finally took it to the dealer, that analised and showd me that the valve of one of the exhaust was damaged (Take a look on the picture) Anyon knows how I can fix this ? At the Porsche PET there's no replacement part for that! Thanks, Conrado

  18. Hello to all! Well I heard this is the place to get the answers and I hope you guys might give me a hand on this... Well, I just purchased a 996 1998 C2 and the previous owner had installed the Porsche Sport exhaust, and he placed a button that I know it isn´t OEM on it, below the driver´s side dash, to swithc between the full open and closed exhaust... Now I took a look on it and it has only 2 wires going into the button... My question is: To add the button to the pannel like on the new carreras, a nice and well know mod, do I have to do all the wiring again or can I use this two wires ? Please any help is apreciated and thanks in advance!!!
