  1. OK. Now I'm in the right place. Sorry about the other thread. I lost my radio code when I changed the battery. Please Help. Typ: CDR220 Mod: BE4462 SN: X5016959 These numbers are on both the loose sticker found in the bottom of the case, and from the read-out on the display. ?? Once the code is recovered, can it be brought up in the display in the future before disconnecting the power? Or do I need to resort to writing it down on the MFR sticker under the front hatch ----? Thank You. Brian.
  2. I'm coming up on 60K on my 2K-S/6spd. A number of things are in question, such as belt replacement, oil / filter change, inspections of this and that? I know my way around the garage and I'm willing to do some minor mechanical, but not necessarily the big stuff, maybe the clutch, maybe. It received a new performance Sachs around 49K, and I'm getting that rattling noise when in neutral at idle. (TO bearing, PP springs?) I think the car has done a couple of weekend track sessions at Willow Springs, which may account for the rattling noises. Push in the pedal and they quiet down. couple How much of a job is it to replace 'THE BELT'? Haven't seen it to know if needs replacement, even though the book says do it at 60. Any recommended tools for the job? Estimated time committment? Next, other than the obvious jacking points on the car, is there a designated/recommended location for jack stands while I'm under it? I'm having quite a problem finding Mobil 1, 10W40. I've been to a number of stores and no one has it. (Maybe Mobil's contract with Porsche Racing, etc. ran out.) I did, however find some of the new Mobil 1, 0W/40. Do you see any problem using it in the Northern California central valley?
