  1. Peter, I'd be keen to know if you got this sorted out & discovered what had happened - I'm contemplating replacing the pcm in my 2005 Bose system, and have looked at Pioneer as a potential candidate. If you've sorted this out, I'd be keen to know the details of your Pioneer install - best of luck fixing it if you haven't already
  2. I'm very interested in the potential of this - do you have any more details? The functionality of the stock PCM is pretty basic & I use an iPhone for all my music, and sat nav via the tomtom app. If I could 'just' swap the head unit to get a load more functionality, that would be great...
  3. Excellent, thanks for the prompt response too - I'm new to Porsche as a marque (this is my first, and I've owned it almost 2 weeks) I've had 6 different Range Rovers over recent years, but this German beastie seems to be doing a very good job of breaking my addiction... :D
  4. Thanks for the comprehensive list Richard - when you say in your note 'different discs are required for Cayenne models' am I correct in assuming that means different dealer part numbers? (I have a 2005 S, with PCM2.1 (I assume, as it has the nav DVD under the drivers seat). My 'Main+Trip' gives me SW versions 1.0 at the top of the PCM screen, with Target & Actual both displayed as 04202FD1 / 2704, so by your reckoning, I need Level B & Level C (no phone fitted - I get a list comprising system software, pcm, amp, nav & cd changer (which has a warning triangle by it - any thoughts?)Thanks for any feedback you may be able to give
  5. Do any of you fine folks know if its in the same place in a Cayenne? I've got a 2005 S (RHD Uk), with the Bose system & PCM2.1 (nav DVD is under drivers seat, but must confess I haven't lied very closely...it's raining again...)
  6. Have had a good hunt around this side of the pond (Uk) & can't find anything useful here either - even 'Pocket GPS World', who have all sorts of great stuff have come up with a blank. I presume if you could get hold of the latest Navteq map data, in their proprietary (.db from memory) file format, you should be able to 'compile' a new DVD, with the up to date files but the same basic DVD structure. I haven't been a proper geek for years now, but if I get a couple of hours spare over the next few weeks I might experiment - will post back if I come up with anything...
