  1. Tried to close the top last week after pulling off the hard top. It closed fine but when we opened it the clamshell would not open. Rear latch was stuck. Opened the lid manually and lubricated the cables and gears/racks with WD-40. Found that the hyd res was bone dry and added Mercedes hyd fluid, which was all we could find in a pinch. Everything seemed fine for a minute - the top closed the rest of the way and the clamshell closed and latched. When we tried to open the top the clamshell opened and the top moved about half way. The it started clicking and barely moving with each click. After about 20 seconds all movements and sound stopped. Where do we start? This all started because the dealer got an ECM fault p0448 and wanted $7,000 to fix it...
