  1. The flat tire’s circumference changed causing it to turn at a different speed than the rest.
  2. While reflashing a 7.8 DME with my PST-2 this message has appeared until the flash completes. I've always thought it is disturbing that Porsche wants you to reply "OK" to that message.
  3. My 02 has started to throw the spoiler alert. What did you replace the hydraulic system with?
  4. donation history

  5. Thanks guys, I have a laptop based PST2 and the Durametric and hoping I can continue to get by without a PIWIS. On a related subject, I have been having a very difficult time getting the needed DME/Alarm IPAS codes from any of our local dealers even for cars I have bought from them.
  6. Is this one legit? http://www.ebay.com/itm/ORIGINAL-BOSCH-PORSCHE-KTS-520-KTS-520-SCANNER-DIAGNOSTIC-TOOL-DIAGNOTICS-/271128308340?_trksid=p2047675.m2109&_trkparms=aid%3D333002%26algo%3DRIC.CAT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D8%26meid%3D4461969920875945591%26pid%3D100010%26prg%3D1076%26rk%3D5%26sd%3D221170300517%26
  7. Finally had time to work on this again. I've been working on Porsches since 74 can't believe this one caused me so much trouble! At the suggestion of my son, we removed the engine hood struts and while I held the hood up he got it on his third try. Cleared the codes caused by the bad diverter and enjoyed a 30 mile ride through the twisties. Thanks everyone. It is a factory box and I had already removed the MAF and the intercooler hose.
  8. Loren thanks for the quick reply. I can't even get it back into the engine compartment, I'm about to remove the engine hood! I've tried every angle I can think of but it keeps interferring with the hood or the back of the car. I had it close once but I could not get the hose over the throttle body.
  9. I had no issues replacing my diverters (one was bad) on my 02 until it was time to put the air cleaner assembly back in place. I've fooled with it for an hour already. What's the trick?
  10. A friend wants me to read his codes to troubleshoot an airbag light on his 2005 Boxster. I've never tried to use my PST-2 on anything this new.
  11. Have you checked the ground connection at the connector or used a test light across the connector's poles?
  12. Way too simple and logical! Thanks for the quick reply.
  13. The version of PET that I have says 986-114-012-05 is the correct part number for a 2001 2.7 Boxster dual mass flywheel. I can obtain an almost new 2007 2.7 Cayman version of this but the part number ends in 06 instead of 05, will it work?
  14. Call the dealer that did the work and tell them to come and get it!
  15. A Wal-Mart battery works fine, even has the vent. They are made by Johnson Control who labels the same battery with several brands. I have one each in all 3 Porsches
  16. Thanks Todd, I hope to get one from a salvage yard with the connector and a few inches of wiring and splice it in. Does it attach to the floor board in the same way as the 986 pedal or does one have to make a new mount?
  17. I've had 2 fail in the last 2+ years. Currently it is intermittently causing the limp home mode to be activated. (60% throttle and no throttle when on the brakes which takes the fun out of blipping the throttle while downshifting)
  18. I'm tired of standing on my head to access the egas pedal sensor on my 986, does anyone know if the later 1 piece gas pedal can be adapted?
  19. Got them today and was surprised to find the 16 mm one is tamper proof which will be handy for the tranny drain plug.
