  1. Hello All,

I have been looking around to see if anyone has been able to get their Ipod to connect to their stock CD player. I do not have Nav or Bose or CD changer. I am using an FM Modulator but this sounds terrible. Any advice would be appreciated. I would also consider swapping out my stock CD for a aftermarket Nav unit but I have seen this is also a problem. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    CGO

  2. |Thanks Loren....I tried to order this part from Sunset but they say the number is not valid....any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Clint

Hi, my system doesn't recognize that part number. It's either wrong or

you don't have the ending #'s and or letters. Can you double check that

for me. It makes it easier for me to double check it. There are many

options on Cayennes also, maybe get me the vin# also to confirm that

    correct part. Thanks, Jeff.

  3. I got 9ff wheels with center lock on my car, the only thing You need to change is to take away the "five bolts" thats are inside the rim, on my car it's also spacers that are fitted with this bolts and replace this bolts with original wheel bolts. You also need to change the center bolt to a original center nut (for wheel bearing). The center bolt is only locked with a spring and a washer.

The job is done less than 30 minutes.

Yes....those are the exact wheels on the car. I am sure your solution should work. Thank you!

  4. Hello All,

I am considering purchasing a used 2004 GT3 but the car appears to have 9ff centerlock wheels installed. I don't care for the look of these wheels and would rather have the factory GT3 5 bolt rims installed. Does anybody know what is involved in swapping these two wheels sets and/or hubs. The car has factory PCCB as well.

    Thanks,

    Clinton Olson

  5. Does anyone know when Porsche plans Cayenne updates?  I read somewhere there will be a facelift for 2007 (?2006?), followed by an all-new model in several years.  I can't remember where I saw it.  Does anyone know?  i am considering ordering a Cayenne S, or perhaps a new ML-500.

There are some images and info on edmunds.com in the future vehicles section. |I have already placed a deposit with my dealer to order another S.

  6. Just wanted to thank the god of Renntech.org for adding the 356 section. :clapping: I hope to see some posts here soon. Although I have owned several Porsches models since my Togo Brown 356 C......I still regret the day I sold it via phone to an enthusiast in Belgium. Anybody have a Togo Brown 356 C or SC for sale? CO

  7. I think one big item to look at closely is the Rear Main Seal....Make sure you have a mechanical inspection and have them examine the seal closely for any signs of leaking. I would feel better buying a 99 which had already had the seal replaced under warranty in the recent past to the new seal type which should hold up better. Also, take a real good listen in the car and let somebody else drive the vehicle. Listen for creaks and squeaks throughout the vehicle. My 99 seems to make more noise than my 84 Targa did!

  8. Thanks Eric....I think somebody jumped in on the thread......It hit close to 70 degress yesterday so I took the C4 out for an hour and half drive. There really was a big difference in ride quality over my last 35 degree outing. I installed the Fabspeed Exhaust on Saturday so I can enjoy the exhaust tune over any thumps and creaks. The exhaust and your advise about changing to the M3 has helped me stay on the true path.....although I am not ruling out upgrading to a newer model 996. Thanks again and thanks to all that recommended the FabSpeed Mufflers!

  9. Hello All,

After test driving a new M3 with 19" rims, I realized how rough the ride is my C4. The car has the standard suspension with 18" rims. The roads here in Spokane are terrible as everyone drives around on studs for 6 months of the year, but that M3 put the hook in me....why should I be tolerating this bone jarring experience every time I take the C4 out? Before I stray down the path of BMW doom....Does anyone have any solutions or suggestions? I refuse to install the dinky 17" rims as they really look out of proportion with the car. Any tips would be well appreciated.

    Many thanks,

    Clint
