  1. Any idea on how to "safely" remove the caps on the headlight washers on a 2004 996 Turbo? Trying to install the item shown below. Thanks in advance.
  2. Does anyone know if the stock OEM exhaust and headers from a 2004 996TT are compatible with a 2004 C4S? Thanks
  3. For those of you who did not respond or... I installed the SP and it is really amazing. Obviously no extra HP, but the throttle comes on much faster.
  4. Thanks for the reply. It appears on the 996TT the location for installation is under the dash to the drivers right of the steering wheel, could not be simple like others that plug in at the pedal. Oh well, if you hear about some idiot being pryed out of a Porsche, just me trying to fit a round peg into a square hole!
  5. Anyone installed a "Sprint Booster Module" on their 996TT? I am interested in how it performed as well as installation. Thanks
  6. Is there any difference between the OEM exhaust/muffler for a standard 996TT and a 996TT w/X50 package, air flow, sound etc.? Thanks
  7. Any advice of ECU tuning for 996TT X50, w/200 cell cats, headers; FVD, Softronic, or? Thanks
  8. Thank you, I really appreciate the help!
  9. I am looking for a part code so I know the spare lid cover I have is for a 2004 996TT Cab. I believe the cab lid and coupe are not the same, if they are the same I have what I need. Put the extra I have on top of the one on the car and they "seem" the same, but...? Want to send the spare I have out to Robert in MI to have a new leather cover fitted. Don't want to send the one on the car, it is brand new (10,000 miles) so I have it if anything goes wrong. Thanks
  10. I have attached the paint and interior info from the stickers on the car. Paint is easy, but interior info I have is natural Dark Gray leather. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
  11. Can anyone tell me the part number for the center console armrest lid for a 2004 996TT cab Please? Thank you
  12. Going to install new steering wheel and dash cover on 944 turbo with passenger side air bag. Can someone provide guidance on disconnecting the air bags with out doing any damage to other operating systems? Thank you.
  13. Thanks for the response. Running silicone intercooler hoses, free flow filter, tuned/ported headers, 200 cell cat w/free flow racing exhaust, NO change in the ECU, but that may come later. Read that Forge DV's would outperform and outlast stock. Thanks
  14. Anyone have advice or suggestions on installing Non-OEM diverter valves and "F" hose in a 2004 996TT X-50? Thanks
  15. Anyone have any experience or advice on the price or practicality of fitting a turbo to the 944S 3.0? Would like increased HP and wondering what type of increase that would provide. Thanks
  16. Thanks, you are correct, the horse shoe that surrounds the "NAV" unit. Thanks for the response.
  17. Can anyone tell me where I can find detailed instructions for removal of the front center console that surrounds the nag, etc on my 996TT. Just do not want to break the plastic. Want to have it painted body color. Also the vent surrounds etc. if there is a source. Thank you.
  18. Has anyone ever tried MotorSilk additive in a 996TT? I have used it in my 65 427 Cobra with great results as well as two other cars. This stuff actually forms a molecular bond with metal to make it slipperier, thus less engine wear. It is a Boron based formula, not the usual snake oil, but the Porsche engine is a different animal than the 427. Thanks
  19. What viscosity would be best for my 996tt in Phoenix, 0-40 or 5-50. Thanks for the input.
  20. Sorry for not being more clear. The "switch in the cockpit" is a remote which activates the actual unit that is in the engine compartment. There in lies the problem. Any ideas?
