  1. My 2000 Boxster S has been sitting the the garage for the past 2 years. I was getting a CEL that identified the O2 sensors and my temp guage didnt work, Well, at the time, I replaced all 4 02 sensors with "universal" non-Bosch sensors. The codes didn't clear and I put the car on the back burner. A couple of months ago I wanted to start driving the car again, so I opened the access panel behind the seats and discovered a rabbit. The rabbit ate about 6 inches of wire at the water temp sending unit, and another 2 connector wire close to it. The rabbit did not survive the encounter and I found him cooked and petrified. After patching the cables and resetting the CEL, the temp guage began to work, but the 02 sensors still errored. After researching this board, I spent the 600 some odd dollars for the correct Bosch sensors and all is well again. My only remaining issue is does anyone know what the sender is that has its cable running close to the coolant temp sensor's wire and is to the right of of the Coolant temp sensor when looking at it from the access panel? Sorry that I dont have a pic right now. Thanks! Jon
