  1. Thanks i'm suprised to hear you say there is no difference since most of the road tests of the 03 Boxster comment on the improved exhaust sound. Perhaps it's very subtile. Yes, I'd be interested in contacting your friend to see if his original 03 S tip is available. The PSE is very expensive, isn't it?
  2. I have just purchased a 2000 boxster S. Great car but it sounds like a Buick on the freeway. My BMW 325I always lets you know that it has an engine. I understand that an 03/04 exhaust will sound better. I am considering a near new '04 (non S) muffler. It does not include the exhaust tip. Questions: Will the newer muffler sound better? Any recommendations for a moderately priced S type exhaust tip? Is the S and nonS muffler the same otherwise? Will it fit without modification? And finally, what aftermarket exhaust would be recommended? I do not want one that drones when the top is up. I listen to the stereo sometimes. (I also have a supercharged Miata with Jackson Racing headers and exhaust. It is too loud with the top up) Thanks
  3. :help: I am considering a 2000 Boxter S with less than 7000 miles on it. It has had one oil change at 6700 miles. This means it has gone six years without an oil change! I am new to Porsches. Should I buy this car?
