  1. Hi Pineweasel, I have a CD-2 radio and I also need the code, can you please let me know how you were able to get the code for your radio. I am having trouble finding out how to get the code for my CD-2 player. Thanks.
  2. Thanks Loren, I have seen some other blogs where they were able to get the code # with just the serial # on the radio, so I am hoping someone else may be able to help. I appreciate you looking into this for me. Does anyone else out there have a way to get the code for my CD-2 radio, using the serial # from the radio? Thanks.
  3. Hi Loren, thanks for the email. I had the radio removed at a repair shop to get the serial # and they re-installed it after they got the serial # for me, so I unfortunately don't have a photo that I can take of the unit. I do note however that the first line of the serial number, if you include the hyphen, has 14 digits. Will that work? Thanks Loren, I really appreciate your efforts.
  4. Hi Loren, thanks for your email. My understanding is that the radio is manufactured by Alpine. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  5. Hi, I have a 1991 Porsche 928 GT with a Porsche CD-2 radio cd player, which I understand was made by Alpine. The battery was disconneted and now the radio display says "Code" but I can't seem to find the code for it. I know I need a 5 digit number to enter as the code. Can anyone help me with getting the code for my radio. The serial number for the radio is: PO CD-2 A08 14992 B 0 08 14992B Any help anyone can provide is appreciated. I tried the Porsche dealer but they said they no longer have codes for older radio cd players.
