  1. I have a 97 Boxster and have recently encountered some issues. When attempting to get gas the other day the fuel door would not unlock. I pulled the pin to get it to open and look at the pin. It appears in good working order and when I lock the car or start it appears to work as it is suppose to. However, when I unlock the car or stop the engine the fuel door will not unlock. Today I discovered when I attempted to open the trunk with the lever by the drivers door and found it too was locked (as well as the hood latch. The trunk operates normally with the key fob. I moved the locking plate in between the two levers and was able to open both the hood and trunk. When I lock the car the hood and trunk lock, however when I unlock the car they do not unlock. The key fob seems to be working properly in that it locks/unlocks the doors and as mentioned will pop the trunk open. The central locking switch on the dashboard also operates as it is suppose to. The key also works on the door lock as it is suppose to. I have checked fuses B8, C3, and E1 (all seem to have something to do with the central locking) and all seem fine. I have also checked for alarm fault codes with my Durametric and no codes. Also battery is fine and I have not had any issues with the battery. I did recently have the car at the dealer to try and diagnose a misfire on 4, 5, 6 when cold. Dealer had it a week and could not find a problem. Thinks it may have been a cam position sensor and by messing with it, may have fixed the problem. Whatever it was it is no longer misfiring. Don't think something happened at the dealer because the hood/trunk/fuel door worked after I got it back. Not sure if the fuel door problem is related to the hood/trunk but it's weird that they both appeared at about the same time and with similar issues. I am hopping someone can point me in the right direction so I can fix myself. Thanks.
