  1. Hi I need to get my 2008 2.7 987 remapped, have fitted a decat race manifolds and cat back sports system but now need to get the car`s ECU changed to suit the new set up.Can anyone recomend any remapping people in oxfordshire? or any one good to go to, I have called a couple of places but i`m not paying £800+ to have it done. Thanks all
  2. Have been told again that the noise is normal and is coming from the top end drivers side. I will never buy another Porsche as long as I live! If that sound is normal they have serious build problems with their engines.Aparently the GEN11 is even louder! a nice loud is good a rattly cluncky sound is not. Thanks for your help but I give up on this car and its time to sell it.
  3. Great will get Autofarm to check that when they are checking the coil packs tomorrow! Thanks will keep updates on progress and a solution when found.
  4. hi all I am new here and have a 987 boxster 2.7 with a noise that is driving me mad coming from the front possibly drivers side of the engine. Its fine until you get to approx 2000rpm and is connected to the revs.It is also intermitent (it dissapeared when I got to a porsche specialist!) I have changed the oil/filter, air filter and put a complete new s/s exhaust system on including new gaskets and manifolds.I have taken the inspection cover off and for the life of me cannot pin point the noise. I keep getting told its normal which I know it is not. I am not loosing any water and have a small oil leek which I have traced back to the oil cooler. It has done 84000 and has full main dealer/specialist history. It seams a bit under powered at times so I am having the coil packs checked on friday and replaced if needed. Oh and it seams to get worse after the car has warmed up, thinking maybe water pump but it is not leaking? Please help if you can. Thanks all.
