  1. According to the VI code legend attatched to the vehicle & service manual line # 4. represents Paint No./Interior which is L92U X1. MC or ME is not shown anywhere in the VI sticker & the vehicle in question definitely does have a red interior as in Loren's vehicle so I'm assuming it is Boxtser Red special Leather as that was the only red interior offered in MY02. The code for Boxter Red Special Leather Interior in MY 03 was ME. Was the code for Boxster Red different Prior to MY 03? Does anyone have access to a MY02 order guide? I would like to be able to correctly state the options on the vehicle if I should decide to sell it at some point.
  2. Thanks Loren, It is the same interior color scheme as your vehicle except for the handbrake, shift knob & boot. FYI the interior code from the Vehicle Identification sticker under the front trunk lid & service manual is X1.
  3. Can someone please tell me what interior color code X1 is for a 2002 Boxster S US market vehicle. The vehicle also has acccesory code M981 (Leather equipment W/O seat covers). I had initially thought the vehicle was equiped with the Boxster Red Special Leather Interior option but other information indicates the interior code for this color combination should be ME. If I understand the coding system correctly the interior color code should folow the paint code. In theis case it is L92U (Artic Silver) followed by X1
  4. I have a fresh 2 1/2" long narrow scratch in the left front brake caliper of my 2002 Boxster S. Since the brake calipers are like new on this vehicle I would like to attempt to touch up the scratch rather than repaint the entire caliper. Can anyone recommend a touch up paint that is a close match the original red Porsche caliper paint?
